Ole or another manager?

You've already said he's clueless and should go.
Personally I would see how the rest of the season goes, and, funnily, would trust him with the buys even if he's going soon after

The club should consider a few things come May

Where did we finish
If not top 4, then how far away were we
Who else is available

If its top 4 and nobody of note available then ge gets another season.

If its 5th or lower and Poch, Allegri, the German fella are available then Ole goes.

Yes. I would give him another year.

Fair play, hes buying the right players to his credit, if another manager comes in then they shouldnt need more transfer windows

He needs to get CL football or go

Especially as the bar is as low as ever for top 4 this season

Even a Brendan Rogers or Chris Wilder would get this more out of this team because they have a well oiled system

-------------

They have a system... But do our players fit their system... Probably not

Just like the squad lvg inherited didn't fit his... And the squad jose inherited didn't fit his.... Etc etc

Pep and klopp have systems... They wouldn't have our squad challenging

Regardless of who is in charge... We need to rebuild and that takes time

Give him a 5 year contract !

Shugsy, while you wouldn’t see the finished article, you’d see some signs of the system the manager wants to play by now

It’s fairly obvious that Ole isn’t a manager with a clearly defined philosophy or else we’d have seen it being implemented throughout the squad. He didn’t inherit a rubbish squad - it was good enough to come second 2 seasons ago.

I accept he needs his players in there too but football isn’t so complicated that you can’t teach what you have the basics of a philosophy even if better players make a system better.

Simple things like moving the ball around quicker are coachable to most players but we’re not seeing it.

Why not get Poch in, the guy actually plays attractive football and natures young players.

When Klopp was in transition and Liverpool were up and down conceding goals left right and centre, you could clearly see what he was trying to do in attack. Even in the early days it was obvious if not consistent. Ole hasn't a clue. Its trial and error with now improvement in the team play. Individuals have improved, whether that's the coaches or natural progression. But the team has stayed the same

Black and white as usual to suit your agenda funrobb

Not taking into account players wanting out, long term injuries etc

My point wasn't a defence of Ole

Its this idea of dropping in any manager who has a style of any description and things are better

You might get an idea of how he wants to play... But its likely to fail isn't it... Like Jose did and LVG did because the players don't fit the feckin system

You should create a style of play to suit what you have... Not force what you have into a style of play

Ole isn't currently being successful on creating a style of play... 100%... But suggesting the answer is just as simple or as black and white as chucking in a new manager with another change of philosophy is just nonsense

If we were up and down.... We'd still have people gurning because of the lack of instant success

How is it nonsense to get rid of a manager we all if we’re being honest with ourselves is out of his depth and replace him with a manager who has a philosophy and is in almost all ways, a better fit for us?

There are many issues at the club above the managers - but that doesn’t mean we make the bad choices at manager level as that is adding fuel to a fire.

One day (soon) we’re all going to look back at the Ole appointment as one of the most stupid and sentimental choices the club has ever made.

We’re below Sheffield United in the table ffs 😅

This may come back to bite me on the backside but I think we'll look much better with an actual centre forward playing even if he isn't in the top bracket. We need someone in the box to occupy defenders so that there's more space available elsewhere. Yesterday, for me, Martial wasn't in the box often enough to be an immediate threat.

Martial needs to look at himself in the mirror and ask himself what he's trying to do. That might sound harsh, but he's always had the excuse that he's not the main man. Now he is, and he just doesn't seem all that bothered.
.Ighalo isn't in his league, talent wise, but give him the dirt and does anybody doubt that he'd contribute more than Martial right now?

Again, Rashford is injured. Martial should be owning this moment. And he's massively disappointing
