FYI the overreaction to him from "fans" is a joke. They will never learn though. See Rose (when he came good before going downhill again" and Sissoko too. The abuse they received was over the top. Maybe the colour of their skin doesn't help as well?

I'd stick with Serge, physically he be better than Aarons as well who looks light weight. Not sure why so many think he is the answer? Yep cut out the odd rash tackle and he will be just fine.
One thing I didn't like to see was him dancing in the changing room after the game on some of the other player's insta accounts. As if the whole penalty didn't happen lol The guy is clearly a fruitcake like a few posters on here including me

There is no defending what he did for their pen, theres nothing an attacking player whos going away from goal likes better than someone having a nibble so they can go down like a sack of sh1t.
However I think his general play has been better since Jose took over and theres no way he will tolerate the silly mistakes so if he wants to stay in the team he needs to cut out the errors.

People fail to understand the role of modern full back....being out of position is where they are most of the time. If you want them "goal side" the entire time then you might as well not permit them to step over the halfway line, like Tanganga's clear instructions at the weekend.
On the counter its our midfields role to hold up the attack to allow for the FBs to recover position and that's when you expect Aurier et al to be busting a gut to recover. Sometimes i would say he doesnt try hard enough in this respect.
Who do we buy that's better, especially knowing our transfer history?
I think José may prioritise a LB with Aurier / Tanganga being RB options next season, unless Tanganga will revert to CB once Davies is fit again(?)

Trippier was awful, couldn`t beat a man to save his life, was often skinned by an opposition player, so he couldn`t do that many rash tackles, he was usually so far out of position. I noticed somebody said posted Trippier had made nine assists, that would be over a whole season. Aurier has done seven over half a season. Expect him to get many more assists this season.

The thing that worries me the most about him is the moment he goes for a challenge in the box I’m screaming at him not to do it as I know it’s going to be a pen. Take the City game for example I reacted exactly the same and was right. Surely Jose has said at some point stay on your feet and just try to block or push them wide rather than do the usual hack job? Oh and get rid of that awful goatee.

In 45 games for Spurs (in the PL), 0 errors leading to goals.
Lloris has 18 errors leading to goals in the PL , however, that's in 248 games (~ 1 in every 14 games).
That's because Lloris is almost giving away penalties saving Aurier from his ones
Imo I can't see Jose upgrading Serge in the summer. A lot of people on here were saying to sign a DM, Striker and a full back. What did Jose do? Sign a winger and box to box midfielder. Don't get your hopes up. Norwich will ask for a small fortune for Aarons and Levy will probably not bite knowing him.
Find it funny how people criticse Aurier and then put forward Aarons as a replacement,
This is the Max Aarons who has zero goals and zero assists and part of the worst defence in the league.
I think many see players like him and Sessegnon as being quality having proven themselves in the Championship. Look at Sessegnon. Not great last season for Fulham in the EPL and showing nothing this year for us. Aarons is on the same path currently and would not be an immediate replacement in the same way that Sessegnon isnt for Rose.

When you look at those stats it shows how people are being way too harsh. Aurier is made out to be a walking liability but zero mistakes leading to goals in 45 PL games in fact he’s actually directly assisted us scoring goals in those same games. He’s not as bad as made out.

Trippier's mistakes were more things like misplacfed passes or being hopelessly out of position. Aurier's are more stupid red cards and daft challenges giving away penalties.
He's been contributing more recently though, so if Jose can cut out the daft mistakes and rushes of blood to the head he may be a decent player for us.

Trippier was awful, couldn`t beat a man to save his life, was often skinned by an opposition player, so he couldn`t do that many rash tackles, he was usually so far out of position. I noticed somebody said posted Trippier had made nine assists, that would be over a whole season. Aurier has done seven over half a season. Expect him to get many more assists this season.

The thing that worries me the most about him is the moment he goes for a challenge in the box I’m screaming at him not to do it as I know it’s going to be a pen. Take the City game for example I reacted exactly the same and was right. Surely Jose has said at some point stay on your feet and just try to block or push them wide rather than do the usual hack job? Oh and get rid of that awful goatee.

Btw I’m not even saying trippier is good ( I wanted him sold when he was back up to walker back in the day ).

In 45 games for Spurs (in the PL), 0 errors leading to goals.
Lloris has 18 errors leading to goals in the PL , however, that's in 248 games (~ 1 in every 14 games).

Imo I can't see Jose upgrading Serge in the summer. A lot of people on here were saying to sign a DM, Striker and a full back. What did Jose do? Sign a winger and box to box midfielder. Don't get your hopes up. Norwich will ask for a small fortune for Aarons and Levy will probably not bite knowing him.

Find it funny how people criticse Aurier and then put forward Aarons as a replacement,
This is the Max Aarons who has zero goals and zero assists and part of the worst defence in the league.
I think many see players like him and Sessegnon as being quality having proven themselves in the Championship. Look at Sessegnon. Not great last season for Fulham in the EPL and showing nothing this year for us. Aarons is on the same path currently and would not be an immediate replacement in the same way that Sessegnon isnt for Rose.

When you look at those stats it shows how people are being way too harsh. Aurier is made out to be a walking liability but zero mistakes leading to goals in 45 PL games in fact he’s actually directly assisted us scoring goals in those same games. He’s not as bad as made out.
