Don't know the details of these reported 'penalties'. (neither does the Daily Express either btw.)
Im convinced the Glazers want to sell to the Saudis and are waiting it out until the price is so high it’s worth selling a cash cow that makes them millions every year without spending any of their own money.
It should mean a major shake up with Woodward called to task
It could mean any even sh!tt!er transfer window next summer because of funding
I used to be worried about potential financial cuts but this is great news, something needs to wake them up.
Shame that the (pre-paid) supporters won't make their voices heard though.
Its a blow but what's 25-30m to United?
Wake them up how? We have spent an obscene amount of money since Ferguson left.

Knock-on effect with other sponsors... ?

we have, but badly.
Because of Ed mainly imo.
Not qualifying for the CL should cost Ole his job.
Just get Poch in now! It's a no brainer.
Half a season with the squad to assess the quality and form a strategy to take through to next summer into next season.
You want to be at the very top, and develop the team and club then this starts with the manager. Poch is no Pep/Klopp/Jose but he has all the talent to be and probably just needs the resources.

You’d think we would but Ed is terrified of sacking another manager on his watch even though he has the worst one in a generation in charge.

Probably will
And we will be moving on to manager number 5 in 7 years. Surely other people at the club also need to be heading to the exit at this stage

If Ed and the board are serious that this is a long-term project, then it shouldn't cost Ole his job this summer. Next season would probably be different as everyone would want to see progress.
Didn't see anybody walk out at 68 mins, it was a tight game so I'm not surprised.
People pay good money to go and watch.

no it shouldnt at all.
the guy has had 2 summer transfer windows and a squad full of players that just arent good enough.
players signed by Fergie, LVG and mourinho that all need shipping out.
this really should be seen as a fresh start and not an 18 month quick fix

Actually, when building long term, the manager can be the final piece in the puzzle in the modern game. The structure of our club is not right at the moment in terms of hierarchy, recruitment, negotiating transfers etc. Until that is addressed you will have managers that will make CL here and there but won't get us where we need to be. Poch or anyone else won't come in a magically turn us into challengers for the title. He could get us to the CL under the current way things are done - the fear being that this is all our owners care about

It doesn't start with the manager. You can have the best manager in the world, but if he isn't getting the right support from the owners/board then he will still struggle.

Ole has shown no progress in one year. Only reason he’s still here is because he’s a club legend. He’d not have the job otherwise and would be gone just like Moyes etc even lvg got Top 4 in his first full season and Jose cl football too. If ole doesn’t he should go end of. Since signing his contract he’s been a disaster
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that the reason he is here is because Ed/the club believe that he has the capabilities to identify players that will improve the squad, whilst bringing through the kids, with a long term benefit in mind.
