When you are using Leicester as an argument you know things are desperate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
care to explain?
they won the league 3 years ago... 2 seasons after being promoted... they are the perfect example that you arer talking b0ll0x as im sure you would have said exactly the same thing in 2014 if i had said leicester will win the league within 2 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think Ed is doing a good job?
Because it’s a complete anomaly. A 1000-1 chance that has happened like twice in English football history.
I may as well say Watford have a chance of winning the league next season, and use Leicester to support my argument.
had martial, pogba and now rashford not been missing for huge parts of the season then im fairly confident we would be top 4 right now.
you cant take 3 of your only decent players out, replace them with Perriera, lingard and mata and expect the same results.

thats not the point, because personally i dont think ed will be around much longer, in which case thats half our issue solved and makes the chances of competing more likely

And be ahead of Sheffield United

a massive possible hit due to not making the CL might make his current role very uncomfortable.

We’ve not made the CL in 3 of the last 7 seasons under his watch and he’s still going strong.
Not saying he’ll never lose that job in the future but until he’s gone we can’t start having plans that involve us winning the league within 5 years. It’ll probably 5 years after he’s gone and that could be a while yet

Imagine thinking that Ole is the only person in the world that can manage this squad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine thinking it was Moyes, and then Jose and now Poch. Tbh the worst thing about Poch is probably you picking him as your "choice".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I never said they were the ‘only’ people that could manage it
But even so, Ole is doing a worse job than any manager we’ve had post-SAF - anyone that thinks he’s the answer has more bad judgment than anything I’ve said
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If only he didn't have the worst squad since Ferguson left, maybe this would be an amazing point.
No one thinks he is great. Everyone knows he's in worst situation of any manager in the top 10.

Lmao. Fred and McTominay are your reason we should be top 4. Go back 6 months ago and this midfield would cause a meltdown here. That you can use them as an argument is a testament to Ole.
Ole is the one that prioritised defence over midfield and attack in the summer. You live and die by those decisions when in management.

It’s better than being behind Sheffield United at this stage and to have more than 35 points. You seem to forget that better managers get more out of players you deem not good enough
For me if you get the manager right, then the playing squad Improves and the signings are more succesful.
If we brought in Poch and backed him with say £350m over his first 2 windows and he went on to the league in his 2nd season would people HONESTLY want Ed sacked?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because our defence was actually worse. Smalling was our best defender. Pogba was our best midfielder.
But Chris Wilder at Sheffield United is using quite innovative tactics and is shaming Ole by being the one who is impressing the neutrals with said tactics
Our defence is definitely not worse.

care to explain?
they won the league 3 years ago... 2 seasons after being promoted... they are the perfect example that you arer talking b0ll0x as im sure you would have said exactly the same thing in 2014 if i had said leicester will win the league within 2 years

Because it’s a complete anomaly. A 1000-1 chance that has happened like twice in English football history.
I may as well say Watford have a chance of winning the league next season, and use Leicester to support my argument.

care to explain?
they won the league 3 years ago... 2 seasons after being promoted... they are the perfect example that you arer talking b0ll0x as im sure you would have said exactly the same thing in 2014 if i had said leicester will win the league within 2 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think Ed is doing a good job?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
thats not the point, because personally i dont think ed will be around much longer, in which case thats half our issue solved and makes the chances of competing more likely
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What makes you think Ed is going anywhere? His job is very safe

i wouldnt go that far.
a massive possible hit due to not making the CL might make his current role very uncomfortable.
im not saying he will lose his job within the club, but i dont think he will have the same responsibilities

had martial, pogba and now rashford not been missing for huge parts of the season then im fairly confident we would be top 4 right now.
you cant take 3 of your only decent players out, replace them with Perriera, lingard and mata and expect the same results.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can expect us to have a better return of 35 points from 25 games and a goal difference of 7
And be ahead of Sheffield United
----------------------------------------------------------------------
plenty of people on here before the start of the season were hoping and looking for a top 4 finish... and thats still possible.
if someone said to you that mata, perriera and lingard would make up a big portion of our midfield for the majority of that most would have written top 4 off

Injuries don’t help but Ole has shown even with a fully fit side he plays Pogba out of position and Martial is poor up top.

Ole is the one that prioritised defence over midfield and attack in the summer. You live and die by those decisions when in management.

For me if you get the manager right, then the playing squad Improves and the signings are more succesful.
If we brought in Poch and backed him with say £350m over his first 2 windows and he went on to the league in his 2nd season would people HONESTLY want Ed sacked?
