What would you do?
Maybe we could Send players out with stilts?
Can’t change something that cannot be fixed. We rarely win the first header when fired into the box.
There is only so much one can do from short corners - they have 9-11 defending. Would help if we have players who can score from outside the box but reliant on maybe klich and alioski for that.
Fundamentally it’s an issue with the balance of the squad which can no longer be changed until the summer

Do you not realise we already do this?
Bamford actually only 4’5”
Cooper has a 50p head though.
He’s the main one capable of getting his head onto something but missed an absolute sitter yesterday - had that been bamford .......

I’m not suggesting bamford would have scored it
I’m wondering what hate bamford would get because I’ve barely heard a word against 50p head Cooper who should have won us a valuable point.

True but no team gets promoted on one players goals alone

The crossing on corners is terrible.
We have two wingers whose main job is supposed to get the ball into a loan striker.
Yet for corners we allow a defensive midfielder to take them and despite him probably being our best player he is terrible at it.
Set pieces are as big a weakness for this team as its depth.
Phillips corners are ok for me
Delivered with pace and often into the right area.
We cannot float corners in because of the lack of height so we have to try and whip them in fast. A lot harder whipping a ball in than floating one in but I think he does pretty good
Agree Kebab that's the way all our goals have been from corners. Whip it in, especially if it bounces near post - scored a couple like that.
Phillips had a bad run of them recently but he is a good strike of the ball
Douglas should be on corners but he aint never fit.
Again, why didn't we sign a player or two who are useful in the air like Pontus was? Surely heading a ball is a key recruitment incentive opposed to a centre back being an triathlete. Tactically inept maanger.
I get more excited from doing the fist chest pump for a corner than I do the fact we actually get one.
That says it all.
I still cannot understand why we sold Janssen

Really Yorkie? Where have you been for the last 8 months?
Right or wrong what happened, its well documented.
When we have possession, it's easy to see why we replaced Jansson with Ben White. But it was a risky decision to replace someone good in the air with someone who isn't and impact on set pieces has been there for all to see.
Incredible naivety in putting together a Championship squad that is so small and poor in the air.

Yep, everybody knows what the Championship is like, big burly strikers and centre halves and set pieces a major source of goals. Sheer negligence to have a team of full short a**es and to let the only player good in the air go
I think people were calling this right from the start of the season so no surprises that teams should get joy out of it. Bring Ben White in no problem, but you add him to Jansson not instead of
Roofe was actually good in teh air too despite being shorter, got quite a few headed goals from our style of play.
Same as Eddie, good leap on him. Whereas Bamford can't head for the life of him
How tf did cooper not score yesterday?
6/7 yards out, whole goal to aim at, and he puts it straight to the keeper. Terrible effort.

People underestimate how strong these players can be to get up to these headers.

Spot on, TS, our lack of height costs us at both ends of the pitch. Does anyone know how many goals we have conceded from corners and free kicks?
