Jansson speaks

We are fkin idiots letting him go there. Heads should roll for this. We've missed his aerial ability at both ends of the pitch and made Brentford stronger.

We were idiots to let him go anywhere, full stop.

Nice interview. Interesting points on ‘burn out’ for those who don’t believe in such a thing.

He’s a headstrong and emotive guy. Did some stupid things at Leeds but put in some great performances on the pitch. Certainly I’d much rather we had him than Brentford. Hope he plays sh*t tomorrow.

Selling him and keeping Cooper must be one of the worst decisions we have ever made. Bielsa's ego has cost us big time I am afraid.

Keep Jansson and roofe, don’t loan Eddie don’t loan Clarke, promotion much more likely

Realistically we needed him, Cooper and White. I know all the FFP issues were hanging, but they will anywhere. We needed the stronger squad and options. For the season. It looks like it will bite us.

It is going to be the definition of complete irony if Pontus and the Bees go up and we don't.

Best defence in the league - I wonder why?

When AR bought ER ( I don’t say back as club don’t own ER) I questioned that was money spent wisely then or fans would prefer it spent on players.

Could have built a better squad, gotten promoted bought ER back by club not AR and not now be facing rent payments to owner.

Facing rent payments to the owner!..

The owner of Elland Road belongs to the owner of Leeds United, if he didn't take it on would we not be paying rent to the old owner?..

We've not paid rent since he took it back, we'll be paying it soon but has the club not saved on taking it back?.....I think it has!..

Its not Elland Road that's the problem here, its other things that you've already highlighted more often than once!..

And keeping Pontus, people have forgotten or don't know that him leaving was his own missdoing!..

His actions did the talking!..

Once under Monk, once under Bielsa, how many times should he be allowed to get away with things that the rest of the team "know" they cant?..

Rent was about 1.6 mill which we now haven't paid for 32 months, but it cost someone 16 mill or so to buy.

So, we have saved 4 mill or so, but someone 16 mill out of pocket and they will start reclaiming that from Leeds by rent at an amount of their choosing.

Perhaps this person's 16 mill would have better spent retaking key players so that we had a squad capable of lasting the distance, reap the financial rewards of promotion and then the club itself could buy ER with no rent to pay anyone and that person could get rewarded on their 16 mill investment.

What I find really strange is that AR claimed in 2017 to have invested around 100 mill in Leeds.

3 years on, that figure has not changed, despite Kinnear's claims that AR is writing cheques for 1 mill per month.

Something somewhere does not add up.

The best defender we’ve had outside the prem and we sold him for peanuts.

Another idiotic decision the club have made. Better defender than White or Cooper.

Some said months ago that your defence is now stronger without him.

Got a Leeds legends calender for Christmas and Jansson is smack bang in the middle of the front cover. Wasn't an expectant sale .....

Absolutely not. White is decent on ball and is going to be a cracking defender, but defending is defending and Jansson was a beast at it. We should have sold Cooper, not Pontus.

Don't shoot the messenger. At the start of the season when Leeds were flying and Brentford struggled some claimed that the Leeds defence was stronger without him.

The start of our downfall huge mistake aerial ability and physicality badly missed but what do I know.Bielsa should pull his horns in .Genius my hat .Lets see what he does tomorrow night. Also I believe we would be in the premiership if he had replaced Berardi with Janssen in the Derby match last year.

Obviously we are weaker in the air without Jansson. Ben White is a better defender though.

Have a look at some goals against us last season in the second half of the year and see how many Jansson was poor on. The two key games Wigan and Brentford he had a shocker.

Was gutted when we sold Jansson, was mine and my lads favourite player..

a little proud moment for me was when my lad (just turned 9) a couple of weeks ago put sky sports on of his own accord to watch Brentford vs Millwall (I think) purely because Pontus was playing... was rather proud that he has that 'want' to watch football in general.. says to me he's not going to be so tribal about football, which I think for people's enjoyment of the sport is important.

too many hung up on owners, DOF's etc when actually, we love to watch sport.

"His indiscretions were hardly sackable offences."

So, with you he'd have got his way the second time aswell, than the club would have had to give all its International players the same treatment because that wouldn't have gone down to well with them!..

Or does his extended holiday only apply to him?..

Bull he should have got his way and good on the club he didn't!..

Jonty, AR and Elland Road!..

If I'm not mistaken you were one of the biggest slaggers about Bates and Cellino giving time tables that they didn't/couldn't stick to!..

AR buys the Stadium back and is the biggest crapdigger alive for doing so, you should think on, he's only done what you,(and most others!)wanted!..

Oh, and the most others a lot of are here going against what they wanted before AR came in, people should make up their minds as to who they support as far as the Stadium goes!..

I wonder how many of the slaughterers here gave the two before him hell for not doing what he has done, its a case of doing and getting hung, and not doing getting hung, AR was the loser whichever way he did it!..

One of the most passionate players we've had in a while. Sorely miss that side of him. Massively miss
the defensive dominance side of him.
