3) Atalanta vs Valencia - Going to the second leg - Valencia to proceed
_____________________________________
Just read the rest of the OP.
Valencia just got ragdolled by Getafe at the weekend, after losing to Granada the week before. They're 7th.
Atalanta on the other hand have been in sparkling form of late, giving Torino 7 (seven) and beating Fiorentina at the weekend.
Hard to make a coherent argument for the orange lovers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are more of a big game team. Often you see these teams do better in the CL than free scoring teams like Atalanta. For example the likes of Atletico have done well whilst Dortmund have played nice football and score loads of goals but very rarely get anywhere.

Surprised at how many people think chelsea will beat Bayern. For me, Bayern will stroll past them winning both legs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, Chelsea have looked really naive at times in the big games as well. Understandable given the average age of their team. Bayern will win that easily.
1) Atletico Madrid vs Liverpool - Liverpool
2) Dortmund vs PSG - PSG
3) Atalanta vs Valencia - Atalanta
4) Spurs vs Leipzig - Spurs
5) Chelsea vs Bayern - Chelsea
6) Napoli vs Barca - Barca
7) Lyon vs Juventus - Juventus
8) Real vs Man City - City
However I do have a horrible feeling that Atletico will knock us out with a top level piece if anti football.
I think Dortmund will be giving PSG one hell of a game too.
If Chelsea can stop Bayern scoring in the first leg I fancy them to see the job through.
Have people been watching Chelsea?
Bayern should scud them.
I think now Chelsea have had a winter break you'll see a massive improvement.
It's fine lines that are affecting their results.

Their home form is terrible though and most teams who go to Bayern get massacred
Can see Bayern winning both legs
Abraham needing chance after chance ain't helping either. His stats alone look decent but it's the amount he misses that would concern me.
They need a clinical striker.
Bayern adding another London team to their list of massacres wouldn’t be a surprise. Seems the most likely result as well.
That said, I’ll never underestimate Chelsea’s ability to completely fluke a result out of nowhere.

They deffo needed a signing or two this window but I think Lampard is a victim of his own ‘success’ in that he’s in 4th place so the higher ups probably didn’t panic as much as they would if he was in 6th/7th.
But their form is shocking - only 12 points in their last 14 games.
That’s a stat I read but have just fact checked it ..
Is actually 15 points from their last 13 games. Still very poor.
Their form since November has been terrible. Really starting to feel the heat of losing Hazard. They can’t keep clean sheets and they’ve nobody to bail them out in attack any longer.
Good thread for once.
Not too much infighting and biatching
Gonna put an 8 fold acca on this - £5 wins £4K if your 8 go through 👍
Imagine if Bayern did to Chelsea what they did to Spurs in London in the groups. Bearing mind that away goals count double in the knock outs, so Chelsea would end up going to Bayern 14-2 down. That's extraordinary.
Pulisic will be a very good player, that i am convinced of.
Hudson-Odoi i'm still confused at what the hell he's done to get 100k a week. He's a young lad, still learning but miles off that kind of wedge. Panicked into that decision with the Bayern interest. It will probably still pay off to some extent but it looks silly at the moment.
But they certainly need somebody else to come and pick up Hazard's mantle next season. Sancho is my guess.

I can't see it with this team. That 2012 team that won it had loads of experience and knowhow, even if it they were shiitt and lucky. Bayern will be wanting for revenge for that too.

I take it you have not checked Hudson Odoi's nationality then?
I’m not just basing it on 2012, Chelsea have form for this sort of stuff when you least expect it. I do think Bayern will batter them. All they need to do is pass it to Coutinho to shoot on sight and Kepa will concede five.

The is a weird stat about Kepa and distance shooting isn't there. I know we've banged a couple past him.
I’m not sure. I know he’s got among the worst save percentages in the top five leagues. He’s got weaker wrists than Graham Norton.
