They should be punishing the people who did it, Ow ers, CEO, finance director etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have started every season with an unfair advantage over every other team in the league as a result of their cheating.

The premier league needs to level the playing field by issuing points deductions in the interest of fairness. It is the other teams in the league that have suffered as a result of City’s cheating

I'm a victim of high train fares, all those trips to Wembley have cost me a fortune.

If you’re worried about money, then you’ll be happy about not having to fork out for any Champions League games for two years! 🎤 thud! 🤣🤣

Well in a way Boris is a victim. He supported City before the buyout, and has done no wrong.
He would be punished along with the club if the ban is upheld
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure where your issue is there 52.

Binky is a bitter little git. This couldn’t happen to a better person.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The only real victims are the other clubs, and their fans, who have done the right thing, acted correctly, and have been denied success they might have otherwise enjoyed due to another club not doing likewise.
Deep down City fans knew full well their club was, and is run by corrupt individuals, but didn't care, as long as they were winning trophies.
Don't have one iota of sympathy for City supporters if I'm being honest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The fans have done nothing.

Some of the rhetoric is a bit strong here too. There isn’t anything illegal that anyone here has done, it’s an alleged breach of a regulation, not a law. Let’s not pretend there’s that much of a moral high ground to be had.

VC, my best mate is a City fan, not that I see him often and he do come on here. He's been a fan alm as long as I have, I was thinking of him not Boris.

Some of the City fans have done nothing wrong. Others
like Mancini on ja606 have lapped up the tainted success and used said success to mock and wum other club. Their chickens have now come home to roost.

it's tough on fans but fair. not punishing city is tough on other teams fans.

That's what happens when your desperation for success makes you resort to shortcuts and financial doping. Now things are really falling apart, and a points deduction is looming as well.

Whilst it may seem unfair on the fans, you'd have to ask them if they'd swap the Aguerrrrrrrroooooo moment for not having breached regulations in 2012. United would have surely won the league comfortably that season, had City been operating within the rules they signed up to. And what about Liverpool? They're going to end the 30 year wait this year, but that could and probably should have ended at 24 years.

Other fans and clubs have suffered as a direct result of the actions for which City are being correctly punished

That’s an awful lot of assumptions there merry, worth waiting for the details to come out when it gets to CAS.

Law, regulation, whatever.
City fans can't recuse themselves from this by acting as though they didn't enjoy the benefits of what everyone knew was a corrupt enterprise.
So not sure just because now they have been found out, that anyone should have the slightest bit of sympathy for them.
Save you sympathy for fans of clubs who have played by the rules, and potentially missed out on seeing their teams become successful, because another club decided they didn't want to.

By extension, I have very little sympathy for any fan of a perceived big team tbh, so i don’t disagree with you.

Sorry, just to add, we didn’t breach pl regulations in 2011/12. They didn’t even exist then.

They did, actually. The first year in which they were introduced was for the 2011/12 season, and the 11/12 accounts were the first ones used for the basis of FFP

If City were docked 20 points they'd still be above Arsenal you clown.

I do not like the fine. What do uefa do with that money. Is it spent on grass roots etc?

The ban is fine. Maybe transfer ban should occur as well as they clearly benefited in making excessive transfers.

posted on 15/2/20

Maybe they can give the money to Liverpool for their imaginary stadium in Stanley Park.

Plus what’s £30m to a billionaire oligarch?

posted on 15/2/20

Yeah I financial penalty for breaching financial regulations is just greed on UEFA's part. It's like telling someone to go out on the pull as punishment for cheating on their wife.

There are a lot of sanctimonious comments here. Just as if every other club was ethically run.
United for example have the highest wage bill in the world on players. But pay minimum wage to the cleaning and catering staff. It does not break any rules but it stinks.

Or at the very least pump some petro dollars into Stockport County, the pride of Cheshire

They don’t need it. They’ve just been bought about by a guy who’s loaded and has big plans for them.

Maybe someone at Liverpool could pass on the details of a reputable T-shirt printing company.
