Will Liverpool emulate the Invincible's

The Champions League hasn't even got going again. City at Emptihad to come still. They will want to win that one.

Nah, if we are still in the CL once the league is run, then it’s time to rotate and go for the CL

league + CL > League. + Unbeaten

Yeah won’t be at all surprised if they do it. They’re winning constantly without looking like they’re going full tilt to beat teams. As much as I’d like Arsenal to keep their record if they beat it then fair play to them. If they carry on as they are they’ll do it, not seen a prem team have come that close to looking like they can beat them. Their last test will be if they can balance CL and PL, and once they win the league they may take the foot off an lose a game. So it’s possible, but it’ll take them dropping off, if they carry on as they are it’s hard to see how they lose a game

I think it’ll be interesting to see whether even if they lose one and win the rest of their games, they’ll be seen by the common man as having a better season than the invincible. To me and I’m sure a lot of you they probably have, but still, I’ve seen a lot of people say City title wins under Pep are nothing vs the invincibles as they didn’t go unbeaten

OP, every chance but in football you never know.

This season is shaping up to be one of the strangest ever.

You can tell the players want it.

Do not see why some fans care so much about this? It doesn’t take anything away from Arsenal, just means another team joins us and Preston in the invincible club.
It’s not like United or Tottenham will ever join

Going unbeaten means fack all, would prefer a decent run in the CL

Part of me hopes it is ended. We’ve been pathetic for so long now , to use it as some sort of trophy and all we have to hold on to is a little embarrassing. It was an amazing achievement, achieved by an amazing team. Now we sit with 31pts and 7 pts off the relegation zone a million miles away from the glory days.

And yet they'd still lose to it. Odd that ay. Plenty will say bias but who cares. I think this Pool team, gets a beat down from the invincibles and the best Utd team of the time. In contrast (to show some method to the madness) I think they would comfortably beat the Barca team of the same era. Belief centres around footballers being utter pansies now and the likes of Viera and Keane being defensively eons beyond your average top flight MF now.

As for invincible, depends how their fixtures play out. Klopp seems the sort to indulge the will of the players and fans, as long as there's no risk to the CL. But if he has to say risk a key player after he takes a knock, he'll sacrifice invincible to be back to back CL.

Finally Pool fans saying they don't care, STOP LYING! You're only showing a lack of faith in your team by pretending you don't care, so you can style it out afterwards if you don't make it. That's PUNKASS support so MAN/WOMAN UP and front it like you believe it. EVERY single one of you is desperate to make it as invincible. Because it's the ONLY way you can top that Arsenal team. More wins than we got will be meaningless if people can say "Yeah but you lost though, Arsenal didn't."

Typical gooner comment

I wouldn't say Liverpool fans don't care. Everyone would want to go unbeaten of course. People are just pointing out that we have bigger fish to fry.

For instance, is a treble better than going unbeaten? I'd say yes. A team that wins like that won't care too much that they couldn't go the season unbeaten.

How much £ did u spend to be able to win it though?

I don’t think fans really appreciate Invincibles until
It happens. Liverpool fans, if they go unbeaten will be the same. But if I’m a player, I’d want to go unbeaten simply because losing is the worst and to be able to say you never lost is as good as it gets. Plus it’s extremely uncommon and unique.

liverpool only lost once last year, to city, by cm's.
i dont care how many draws arsenal got, they didn't lose and that's really impressive.
if liverpool do go unbeaten this year i think that will place them higher than the gunners, but nothing can ever take that away from them.

Arsenal didn't spend alot to achieve the unbeaton record, any idea how much Liverpool spent over the past 2 seasons and how much did your 2005 side cost to win your first league title?

After the Wright brothers, who were the second to achieve powered flight? Who was the second man in space? etc etc
Being the first is all.
