I've always thought Matt le Tissa great. It doesn't always mean you're in a top team m.

Greenwood definitely looks special and he’s only recently turned 18. Just seems so natural to him and he’s only going to improve with experience and as his body matures. Williams has looks good if not a little naive but I do think his performances are possibly highlighted right now because we’re so poor and his passion stands out, will be interesting to see how he develops.

While Ole has handled Greenwood brilliantly I was hoping to see more from out young players, especially Gomes, Chong and Garner. If they’re not ready then it’s stupid to push them at the deep end but equally, you also need to take risks like that to see how they handle it, it’s a tricky balance. I guess the frustration is highlighted when we see Pereira and Lingard playing week in week out and doing absolutely nothing.

Trent is the only one that's proved himself at the highest level...the rest are still pretty much raw potential.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trent is the best in the world in his position. No other player can say that on this list.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t know how you can categorically state that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you can think of anyone better then please do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well for a start I’d take Pereira from Leicester over him given the choice

Alexander-Arnold is the best of that bunch, i like the look of Pulisic but he seems to be injured a lot. Neto as well but i need to see more of him, Mount and Martinelli. One is a top player and the other 4 i think will be top players.

Foden is a top talent as well, i'm not convinced he will break through properly at City so he might need a move. The CL ban could be his saving grace.

Sessegnon looks out of his depth, has done every time i've seen him. Not sure what convinced Spurs to buy him either considering he struggled big time with Fulham in the PL.

Jones and Williams for Liverpool.
Reece James for Chelsea looks good.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reece James yeah agree. Very good player.

Reece Oxford could be the next Rio Ferdinand.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, one of the best young midfielders in the world.

Callum Hudson Odoi, already the best winger in the world currently

Josh McEachran, the next Lampard.

Janujaz, just need to hope he picks England when he grows up.

Cameron Borthwick Johnson as well remember.

You missed out Lingard.

Another few years, he'll be world class.

Also Freddy Adu.

Who is this Phil Foden?

I thought we were talking about the best players in the league? Has he started a game yet?

posted on 17/2/20

I don't get this article.

There is bags of youth talent coming through and English youth football has never been stronger really.

Sounds like bollox tbh.

Hudson-Odoi is another one, surrounded by hype but he's actually done pretty badly.

100k a week i read though

The answer is yes he has started games. Brilliant talent.

Foden and Hudson Odoi are great

There is stacks of talent coming through. Harvey Barnes has only just turned 22 but looks good. Curtis Jones for us looks mint.

done pretty badly? he hasn't looked at exciting as last year, but hes been solid enough considering the injury he had. 2 goals 4 assists in 9 starts.

It's difficult to name a club in the league who don't have any exciting young players

Palace maybe? Villa if you say grealish doesn't count as a young player anymore?

posted on 17/2/20

Arsenal currently have nine young players who might genuinely make the grade (Nketiah, Willock, Saka, Nelson, Guendouzi, Balogun, Martinelli, Saliba and Emile Smith-Rowe). Of those, there are at least 3 with genuine world class potential. I'd argue 4, if Nelson can finally begin to kick on. Chelsea have a similar number.

Youth is being handled better than a decade ago, with much less focus on hype and early lucrative contracts and 18 year old super Jack's playing 45 games in a season. Doesn't mean the talent isn't there.

Yes done pretty badly.

He's on 100k a week FFS.

His stats on transfermarkt are 17 games, 1 goal. It's pash. Not only that his decision making is poor too often.

All the potential to be a top player but judged on what he's actually producing he's been poor.

Lol I actually forgot Ainsley Maitland-Niles. 10. We have 10 players who should make the grade. And that's ignoring the talents lower in the youth ranks like Azeez.

That highlights the opposite of what you think it does i feel.

The second highest for expected assists and expected goals so what you're saying is he can't make or take simple chances when the opportunity arises.
