What I liked the most about the team was the togertheness. Even with the new guys in the team, it was great to see.

Yea, it's great to see. I've said before, but if Ole's only legacy is to get us back to having a team of players who really believe that UTD is a club to play for, not just a big wage.... that will be a very good platform to build on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

indeed, a lot of people have been frustrated with Ole but signing the right player is key. This season will be valuable for us and for the kids coming through. This experience will show clearly who is up for the fight and who isn't.

Really like AWB

in all the Man Utd games I've watched since he signed, I can't remember a single time any attack was successful down his side

the £50m is easily the best money you lot have spent in recent times

Bruno looked comfy on the ball which is always a welcome sight when a foreign player comes over to the prem

Fred was my MOTM, the guys was everywhere and so many times, his pressure and tackling resulted in counter attacks high up the pitch

Was a good performance yesterday and an excellent result.

Ighalo will suprise a few, I like how he pushed the defender off the ball near the throwing area towards the end of the match.

None of our attacking players offer that and that will be an issue for the more physical teams.

3 or 4 players in the summer and we would have an excellent foundation for the future.

What I liked the most about the team was the togertheness. Even with the new guys in the team, it was great to see.

They want to be here and it shows. Hope they keep it up and hope the club rewards them with the right type of signings in the summer.

It was great to see them all celebrating together. Keane said a while back he thought this was important that teams do as scoring a goal is the culmination of all the hard work you put in. Keane, as much as he looks a misery, was always one of the first to go and celebrate a goal with his team mates.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes indeed, the players need to trust each other and when they do, they will do great things. Another thing not talked about a lot was the tackle on Martial.

Fred immediately went over to protect his team mate and even got a card for it. When Martial scored, you could see the relief on his face and the appreciation to AWB.

We have some cracking players in that team, they just need the right people around them and they will continue to grow.

It is unfortunate that Pogba has the agent he has to be honest. If his heart was at Utd and he got back fit, he could take this team to places.

I liked Fred's reaction too. Not really sure the yellow was justified for him or the Chelsea player really.

We do have some good players who would look better in a consistently cohesive team. Hopefully that'll come in time.

As for Pogba. I've lost patience with the situation now to be honest. The only way I think I'd get back my respect for him is if he dumped Raiola and fully committed himself to United. Otherwise there will always be doubts. I've always given Pogba the benefit of the doubt (because he does seem popular in the dressing room and is reportedly very supportive of the younger players) but not any more. He does have the power to shut down Raiola if he wanted to. Don't really understand why Lingard got himself involved really. I can only think he wants to leave or is at least thinking of it.

Easy to win a game when the VAR and on-field referee are from Manchester I guess...

That'll be Diafol straight out the door then... Think it's BS tbh, considering the way he talked about us and taking a huge pay drop.

Players hire agents deal with a huge number of things - commonly sponsorship, image rights etc.

With Rashford I wouldn't read too much into it in terms of him wanting a move.

Of course Bloodred. Just don't want him having Raiola in his ear all the time.

Ji - if Raiola could get me the same job for double the pay with another firm then I'd go! That's why players go to him I suppose!

I was very impressed with the way United set up without the ball. Really nullified Chelsea's tactics and forced them central the whole game. AWB looked a beast, Fred and Bailly were good and Maguire and Shaw solid. Still looks a limited team for where United need to be and still question marks about the set up against teams that come to defend deep.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Last line hits the nail on the head.

In the games against teams above us we've five wins, two draws and one defeat = 17 points which means that in our other 18 games (against teams lower in the table) we've mustered 21 points which really isn't good enough. Even 1.5 points per game in those 18 games and we'd be 4th.

I just took a 40% pay drop to work for a better company... It can work both ways i guess.

After his interview, I would be very surprised that he would do something to scupper his chances.

But, like i said, I think it's BS

Whilst a few individuals did well we looked disjointed as a team. We couldn't bring fernandes into play, our only forward option was a ball in behind to martial and James and the full backs were in no man's land.

A back three suits Shaw, he's decent in possession and z very good defender.

Love Fred's energy and dynamism, i do worry about his ability on the ball.

Maguire was solid as a rock, seems to go unnoticed.

Fred is reminds me of Sissoko

great engine, great enthusiasm, average with the ball at his feet

his best bet is to get the ball off the opposition and give it to a guy more comfortable with the ball at his feet

missed the game last night due to family emergency but caught a reply of it later on, really good performance across the board, bailey and fernandes were class, amazing we've beat these lot 3x this season now, again just hoping for consistency starting with Watford this weekend

Bailly was, is, and will always be, cack.

Other than that, most of the outfield players were on good form - even martial got something right.

In truth though, it was always a contest between a team of superior quality without the character for a proper contest, and a team that has to graft to counter it's lack of craft - as has been the case in all the recent matches between them.

Judgement is better reserved until after what'll probably be another garbage home performance ......

Chelsea are not currently a good yardstick. Better squad, but poorly motivated.

What are people's opinion on this formation? I think James is very limited when we play like this. Maybe Ighalo and Martial would suit, with Ighalo holding up the ball
----------------------------------------------------------------------
James might be used as a RWB when we play against poor teams. I really like this formation. It's helps us to be defensively sound and brings the best out of Maguire, Fred and makes our midfielders less exposed.

The formation is good for keeping clean sheets, but it's not very easy on the eye.

Perhaps with Pogba and Rashford back it would be more effective though. We'd also need AWB and Williams to bomb forward more readily.

James has been underwhelming to say the least. Granted we didn't expect him to be starting every game, but he is weak, one dimensional and seems to lack footballing intelligence.

I was impressed with Bruno Fernandes last night, I thought he and Anthony Martial linked up well.

Fred was excellent last night, I knew he would come good for us, I'm glad he's proving his doubters wrong as well.

see this is the other side of the fred argument, james started off really well for us and has faded as the season has gone on, however he showed enough in the first 3 months of the season to suggest he does have a role to play in our squad, personally feel he's been over played in his 1st season in the pl due to lack of proper quality alternatives and his body is obviously it not used that constant intensity compared to championship level
