I belive this deal has to be done by April before his release clause ends, and would be delighted if we got him signed for next season.
At around 50m or less he represents good value in the current market.
He fits the Liverpool model. Good player, good age and not a superstar on astronomical wages. Will be a good signing and competition for Mane as he does prefer the left side of attack.
Why would he join Liverpool to be a sub? He’d be better off staying at Leipzig at that point

Bigger picture is that Mo, Mane and Bobby are 28 in summer. At some point they will decline and also Mo and Mane will be at AFCON. We might not be that lucky next year with injuries too and what if one of them is out of form?

If Werner had been a part of our squad he would have played a lot of minutes this season.
I love Origi but he was crap against pathetico Madrid and overall I'd say there is space for a player like Werner. He won't play as many minutes as at Leipzig but he will play enough and be part of a team that might pick up the biggest trophies.

It depends in who actually comes in for him and their situation. Its not like Madrid and Barca want him that badly and he would into be guaranteed of a start at most teams too.
Liverpool's front three plays too many games in a row and they only get rested when injured or precautionary.
Man City have a lot of top players and they manage to keep them all happy so I don't see why Liverpool can't do the same.eg Mahrez would start for anyone else but he's behind Sane, Sterling, even Bernardo perhaps.
Its what Liverpool need to do in order to dominate like City did for the least two years. That extra bit of quality is essential and the player is rewarded with medals around their neck.

Also, Madrid have other players ready to play and reports are linking them with other players anyway. They're also likely to sign more players and leave him struggling for games too.

That's because ultimately he isn't good enough. We've played Salah and Mane into the ground this season. If Werner had been here Klopp would have been more liberal. Its why Klopp has been going on about fixture scheduling.
The gap in quality between the starting 11 and the bench is a bit significant too.
