Have to say i found his comments today about the player of the year awards not going to city players unbelievably bitter. Liverpool players have won poty award in 3 of the 4 years city have won the league which i admit is a tad out of the ordinary but if you look a bit deeper it doesnt take a rocket scientist to see why.

13/14 - suarez won it having equalled the goalscoring record for a 38 game season. Almost single handedly dragged a pretty average team to the title.
17/18 - salah won it having broke the goalscoring record in his 1st season with the club. Given the calibre of players who have tried and failed before him i think justfied.
18/19 - vvd wins having put together a season which also saw him named the 2nd best player in the world. He was an absolute mile in front of everyone in the voting.

What sterling also neglected to mention was this award is awarded following a vote from players, so it is his fellow players that are choosing these winners not some biased panel as he implied.

I find him unbelievably bitter against us which i find quite frankly pathetic given the success hes had a city. He should focus more on getting his form back which has slipped ever since his run in with gomez rather than talking complete nonsense.

He also neglected to mention in 1 of them years he himself was awarded football writers player of the year. Deluded and again for whatever reason extremely bitter.

Couldn't agree more

sterling was at this prior to his new contract at city.

sterling has something to say when it suits and not others so everything with him is an angle.

imo sterling hasn't a hope of a game at real.

Sterling gets tired by January. Will never be world class despite the tap ins he gets.

He hasn't played for you for donkeys, let it go.

Maybe he doesn’t want to wait 2 years to try and win a European comp now. He’s done everything at domestic level as we all know so might fancy a change. Not really assed either way to be fair

Why do City fans still give Milner shįt then??

posted on 21/2/20

Because he slagged us off.

Looking at him. he looks likes been on the seafood diet, see food and eat it

He was booed at Anfield. so next day or so. he attacked Gomez and Gomez still has the scar on his face from it.

Just read that the rat is saying City aren’t as respected as Liverpool. Awww bless. Wouldn’t worry about that lad, you’ll be a Real player before long

This is embarrassing. The city fans give Milner stick. Sterling is pic with a madrid and city shirt side by die each shoulder. It is pathetic.

I mentioned earlier he does this when he wants to move. Who remembers the bbc interview where he started talking about Arsenal.

Outrageous.

It's not like City are playing Real Madrid in the near future.

You are being mugged off. But as with FFP you are only seeing what you want to see

If sterling is flirting with Madrid and angles for a move. Then don't stand in his way let him go. He has just signed a long contract with City. Therefore he will command a top dollar transfer fee, His stock currently is higher than it has ever been so I cant see how this should concern City. As for FFP I suggest goofy you are only believing what you want to be true. Wait until all the hearings and judgements are made without bias.

City fans in denial as usual. Sponsorship, sterling posing with a Madrid shirt, and FFP

posted on 22/2/20

I wouldn't blame him if he wants to leave the Premier League

He probably understands why gets dog's abuse off bitter, small-mined Liverpool fans but not why he gets grief at Bramhall Lane or Turf Moor.

£150m has been quoted, City might have to accept the money and move on.

Even in that context you’d have to say it’s unusual a player would allow himself to be photoed holding the oppositions shirt.

If there’s nothing in it then it’s a mildly provocative thing to do because the picture will be all over the madrid press.

I have no axe to grind with Sterling but he’s clearly an ambitious man, he left us because he thought City represented a better chance of success at the time (he was right) and if he believes RM offer a better chance of success than City then it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him agitating for a move.
