What is strange is how we clawed back the minus 12 then stopped on all fronts.
The fresh start with a January top up hasn't worked out this time around what about the next and the one after that with whoever in charge.

Can anyone see the point in signing.
Anthony Georgiou if we have to pay anything at all towards his wages.
Unless we are getting him on an 18month contract I see no point at all.

Well Pasty. it does seem strange that we have stopped getting points on the board. When you look at it we had quite a few injuries which upset the balance of the team. Then we let players go before replacing them and to top it off the players brought in don't seem capable of making a difference.

Bingo! No points. Or very few. A real problem is that Hill seems incapable of installing discipline into the defense Hence they leak goals when if they could concentrate for 90 minutes, it wouldn't happen as often.

Golden, It might just be worth it Georgiou could make a difference and we could win a few games. It would keep some fans on side. It remains to be seen if he can. I have a terrible feeling that it could end up like the late 60s when the gates slumped to a few thousand. I suspect most on the forum were not around then. It was pitiful.

I must say it does on the face of it seem a waste of time. Let's hope that there is no money passing hands.

When a player is out you'd expect another to come in a like for like swap but not with KH its a new untried lucky dip formation to go with a injured or tired resting player.

You are right but we are dealing with Hill here He can't fathom out what he should be doing so how are we going to understand his actions?

I'd imagine any wages paid for Georgiou would be well within any budget set for us. And coupled with the lack of a loan fee it's probably not all that costly.

Lets face it if it was the same person/s making the same mistakes I'd believe it was an issue with them but it's everyone which must point to coaching. Perhaps they don't understand what Hill is telling them I don't know but if it is it's his job to simplify things so they do.

Yes, Ghost simplify the message. If you have anyone with an idiom of intelligence you can train them to achieve what you want. Training is quite easy if you follow certain rules. 1. Discuss what is required, 2, show them what to do. (with matters like football when mistakes are constantly occurring, you have time on the training ground to go through what is needed to eliminate problems). 3 assess how the one being coached deals with the problem on the training pitch. 4. review if it's sunk in.. 5 continual practice.

Every player can improve if the training is approached in the right manner. You will never eliminate all errors, that's human nature but you can cut out a lot of mistakes.

can I have a job, please?

Is this the ramblings of a madman?
“I love working for this football club. I wanted to take it and so did David (Flitcroft) and we want to endure this pain we’re going through so we can taste the greatness that will come.”

No prizes for guessing who's comments they are.

Ouch
Edwards out for the duration with a broken kneecap

Begs the question what are they doing in training? Picked up a lot of training ground injuries this season.

Another day and more ramblings to delight us.
Is it any wonder the players are distracted as half and full time approaches their thoughts are probably turning to what wise words of wisdom await them in the dressing room.

I can't be held responsible for what went on before. I refuse to be the victim.

Looks like Oldham are going into admin. Players have been told they will be paid late. Tough for us greater Manchester clubs in the shadow of United and city. O bet wheater is peed off.

The Old Taxman is feeling much better and expected to be out in force for a longer duration than normal this year with his Winding Up Orders.

Don't think any Oldham fan I've heard from is in the least bit surprised at that news. Another rogue owner allowed to swan in and do what the hell they like in the hope of a quick asset strip and re-sale for mucho profit.

The EFL need to have a head to toe review of what needs to be done to keep these clowns out of football at the highest level. By the highest level, I mean owning a club, not the league that the club is in.

It's about time that the massive amount of money that comes into football is filtered down to the lower leagues. I suspect that will not happen unless the government comes up with a plan to force bidders to screen for Premier League games, to contribute a certain percentage of any bid to be allocated to the three lower leagues on an even basis. It would need laws as to how that money is spent so that it doesn't end up in owners' pockets.

As I see it, its the only fair way to preserve the lower leagues. Of course, the Premiership clubs would be up in arms but it would give lower clubs a chance of surviving and moving onwards and upwards.

Oldham look different to Bolton. Round about £600000. Its grim in league two. If the crowds aren't coming in and there aren't sugar daddies like Salford have its a struggle. The tv income is minimal. I still fear the future. What happens when football ventures money runs out? The money coming in still doesn't balance the books. Fully funded for 3 years it was said. How many skeletons have come out of kens closet since that was said?

Difference with FV is they seem to have a plan and have brought in staff who at least know what they are doing, (football side is debatable), so I'd hope every eventuality has been accounted for.
