the animals prey on the most vulnerable, they are disgusting vile bastirts.

I saw a report last night showing the impact of vigilante paedophile hunters on tackling the problem, they are responsible for a vast amount of convictions.

the internet is a great thing, but also a dangerous one, it makes it easier for these animals, to download content, to network, to buy and sell.

Social media networks aren't doing enough, not nearly enough, to protect children and tbh neither are parents because some of them are totally naïve to what children can access on their phones.

the access kids have to the world is night and day now, you can be bullied sitting alone in your room, you can be groomed while sitting on the couch next to your mum.

people need to be prepared for that.

Do these vigilantes not fvck up a lot of cases?
There's a wee bit of LOOK AT ME I'M SO GOOD. Makes me uneasy tbh.
That said if less of them in the streets then good. Dunno how I feel about it.
Don't watch the "catching the beast" videos though.

I think its more the people who cling on to it that do, some of the people within the groups know the laws and their restrictions, I think they are more careful know because they know the repercussions.

the one I saw last night was that they uncover almost half of online grooming cases reported to the police.

on that basis I would rather have them than not.

Every been on some of their websites? there is a mob from Newcastle that post the text exchanges their decoys have with culprits, when they think they are talking to 11 year olds etc.

the content is enough to make you sick.

Those beast hunter videos are usually savage but a few of the ones that have gone viral have been quite funny.

That bald guy that became a meme . They deserve to be humiliated so i don't have an ounce of sympathy for them.

Well at least the whitabootery seems to have calmed down a wee bit on here. Not gone away entirely though. One or two still on with the BJK kinda pash. They know who they are.

Twitter is particularly toxic on this sort of topic. The overall tone on this site has been much more measured and mature

Matter of time until they get one wrong.
These people are confirmed guilty long before any trial.

If they got the info and passed to police then fair enough.
The videoing, goading and releasing of info worries me greatly.

some of them are really good, the mobs however are not, i think its important to seperate the two.

i'd love for the police to be doing it, but they don't have the resources to do enough.

people are going to do it, but it should be left up to those who are doing it properly and not interfering in investigations

there is a "look at us" element to it.

but that's a price that's well worth paying. As I said "almost half"

that's a number of beasts reported and that could make all the difference.

worth it by far.

Your “Tommy Robinson” is a repeat offender in ruining cases, is he not?

You know what, even in Celtic did the rightest thing in the world here, some will never let us forget it. Never.

Which, it could be argued, is pretty apt.

Spot on Pointy. There are those out there who want the worst to be true simply so that they have have a go. It is fair to point out though that MOST, though not all, of the berrs on her are nowhere near that category and I salute them for that.

It’s hung over the club for a long while now. Maybe this will help bring it to a head. I didn’t get a chance to see what was said last night, but it seems to be that tonight is mainly about Celtic.

Most will move on from it, but there’ll always be some who will want to keep it to the forefront-and that’s fair enough. It could all have been tackled a long time ago.

Like I said, I’d hope we would be more proactive in this. It’s people’s lives that have been ruined by it, and for the failings we have had in the whole disgusting episode, we should step up and deal with it.

Sorry mate can’t agree

----------------------------------------------------------------------

you don't have to agree with me mate, an increase I paedophile prosecutions isn't for everyone.

you are entitled to your view, don't let anyone make u feel bad for not wanting more of them behind bars or on the register.

it's totally up to you mate, doesn't make you a bad person to take half of those reported away and let them be free to offend.

totes up to u mate

Avoiding one innocent man being in bars at the expense of allowing 10 out is the measure of justice systems

SFA released a statement on it sort of digging out channel 4.

This is where this gets really messy for me, these people have been through enough without lies and public arguments and slanging matches.
