This was another dark day in the history of Scotch soccer history, leaving them empty and pathetic, kinda like a racoon cub that spends weeks looking for its mom, only to go find her as roadkill out on the freeway and some big-ass bird thing pecking out her eyeballs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What a weirdo this guy sounds
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh dear.

Someone still has their grumpy pants on
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I actually have today, but for work reasons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Get them weiched then and get yer Friday drawers on

Or just get them weiched and strut
----------------------------------------------------------------------

One more meeting to bawl the rse out of our finance directors who somehow seem to have adopted some kind of "internal affairs" stance.

Really put me in an awkward and wholly unnecessary situation yesterday. I was and still am livid.

Back in their box time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cue lots of thumping fists (filth) on desks, pointing of fingers and the word "stat!" used occasionally.

Go get em tiger!

"Copenhagen or LASK ideally."

Yep I'd be fine with that.

Is the 2nd CL space f@cked now or can we still get it if Rangers win the next round?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah we still have it just now. Basel AND olympiacos need to overtake us. To do that Basel pretty much need to get to the final and olympiacos the semi's. Both need to happen for us to lose it.

That's also based on rangers getting no more points, we could potentially still overtake Copenhagen if we progress and they don't

Meanwhile my department (especially me) is seeing the end in sight.

All signs point to me getting thrown on the scrap heap within the next couple of months.

Whatever good ideas I've came up with they're being batted ouit the park, while we're not being given the chance to save our jobs.

I'm getting pretty sick of this looming over me to be honest but just got to ride it out.

How'd you know that?

Actually I tend to deliberately speak very quietly so they have to really concentrate and every now and again drop in little things like "Do I make myself clear?", "Do you understand what you have done?", "Explain to me what you were trying to achieve and what end result you must have been looking for".

"Did you ever think that your end result would be like this?"

etc etc

I have an enjoyable knack of this but thankfully it's hardly ever used.

It's the fact that the GM asked us to come directly to him with any ideas. I've done this several times but those ideas are treading on another guy's toeas and they keep getting vetoed.

I f@cking absolutely detest the lickspittle, spineless, toadying khunt for speeding the demise of this place and helping to chuck my career down the pan.

I'm not done yet though. If my line manager isn't going to do anything about it I will cos I've got zero to lose at this point.

Thanks for that.

Chin is up no problem. I've at least still got some fire in ma belly while others either don't really seem to give a f@ck or are in a depressed state.

I've got plenty going on to keep me busy, just the transition to making a living out of it is the challenge. Timing is key.

Fair point.

The problem for me is that I often take the stress and misery of my home life into work. That's even worse

Yeah, that was disappointing-but I didn’t want to wind the boot in considering what was happening with him.

I used to get very worked up and angry about it. It affected my health for a bit but got over that.

Don't let it do the same to you mate.

Just know that things will get better or there will be change. And get your Mrs to talk you off the ledge when you're venting your anger.

Better out than in!

That's anger I'm talkin about btw

What type of work or industry are you in rats?

Happy to send a referral link on for any jobs at my company.

Hopefully if the worst happens you get some redundancy money, if so it can be a great opportunity to do somethingelse. It's happened to me 3 times and always led to something better, and I'm not the sort of person who would have applied for other jobs if it wasn't for the redundancy.

In effect each time it gave me a kick up the bum to do better although doesn't stop you worrying when you go through it.
