Nah too big a club to go down.

We're the only scottish team to have never been relegated

Losing your touch - old Rangers were never relegated

Celtic would be a mid table team they’d never be good enough to challenge for the title

Wow! Nerve touched!

Based on realism!

The SPL is very poor maybe mediocre league at best compared to the EPL.

The huge difference Celtic would find in the EPL Is the competitiveness and intensity of every single game. In Scotland they can have a bad day and get away with it. In the Premier League every second of every match counts and they’ll found out.

To be fair Celtic would be best suited to the Championship and so they could possibly struggle.

To start with they would struggle. But within a few years they would establish themselves and become a top 6/8 team. Eventually, if run properly, they would challenge for the title.

After a few years top 4-6. Winning it? Nah, even I wouldn’t go that far.

Let’s be honest, with their current squads they’d be battling relegation.

They’re operating on Huddersfield Town budgets.

And round and round we go.

We wouldn’t be operating around anywhere near their budget as we’d benefit to the tune of well over a hundred million just by being there which would buy us better players.

It’s a ridiculous argument

You think you could make your club a solid Premier League side with £100m? I strongly doubt it. Huddersfield spent £100m the year after they got promoted and still went down with a whimper. Celtic’s squad is on a par with a good Championship winner.

Well firstly I com)lately disagree with your opinion on the strength of our squad and would fancy us against any Championship or lower EPL side.

Secondly the tv money is a small part of the overall finances available such as sponsorship.

All that aside it’s all a bit moot for the simplest of reasons being we wouldn’t have the same squad and we’d have a lot more money. We could go out and buy a pile of abs9lute sheiete and be worse or we could be an attractive proposition for a quality manager and back room staff with our facilities and being in the richest league in the world.

There is absolutely no way of knowing but don’t go thinking because it has SFPL ahead of it, that somehow qualifies anyone who doesn’t watch us regularly or in Europe to just sum us up like that.

We’d likely keep the Dembele’s of this world who we had to sell and would keep Edouard who is likely to go the same way. McGregor is being chased by Leicester but Huddersfield Town right?

Any time we’ve played opposition from south of the border we’ve usually given a decent account of ourselves and any time we play a Championship team pre season (not often admittedly) they’re usually swatted aside with ease

It’s apples and pears. Just not comparable.

Sponsorship wouldn’t be that much. Clubs like Newcastle who you’d be on a par with don’t generate huge sums of sponsorship to reinvest into their side.

You’d need to buy 8 players and hope that they gel, and do it on a budget.

I too would fancy you against a good championship side and teams at the bottom of the PL. over the course of the season that’s where I’m rating you.

I think one of games against English teams, especially in preseason against their subs can be disregarded as a benchmark for how you’d do across a whole season.

I watch lots of Championship football - go to games - and probably one SPL game every 2-3 weeks. The quality of the SPL is right down the lower end of the Championship outside of the top 3-4 sides.

Well likewise albeit the other way round and as for NU, you’ve Ashley for that. Lord alone what you’re watching up north of the border but we’re talking purely Celtic here with all the trimmings EPL would bring. Wholly different ball game from top to bottom.

Will never happen anyway

Hey ho.

Dont want it to happen.

We would become another soulless franchise playing in that stupid hyped league.

We'd fare better than Rangers. Would only ever happen with both. We are two cheeks of the same rse.
