I think Guardiola is an elite manager on that Sir Alex Ferguson level. I think he’s earned that right to be considered that highly.

This Man City team is the great team of its era. Outstanding team.

I wonder if an article like this will be made at the end of the season?

If they win the CL you have to compare them to the great united teams under sir Alex and ask whether they are the best team of the Pl era

Two league titles including a domestic treble. And then a champions league win in addition to a carling cup.

They win like no one else.

Outstanding team.
They will always have that awful shadow of corruption hanging over them.
Bit like the fella on the bike, Lance whatisface.
Would have been good to see how they would have faired if they could have stayed clean.
Guess we'll never know.🙁

The corruption doesn’t hang over them because the rule shouldn’t exist in the first place

Imagine what Jose could achieve with those players...

Yeah, it doesn't work like that I'm afraid.
You can't say you never broke the law because you don't believe in the law, because if you didn't believe in the law, you wouldn't take part of a competition that has them laws.
As I said, it's a shame, but there you go. ☚ī¸

This City side were considered a great side before a ball was kicked today.

What I will say is that they have the luxury of fielding 2 full strength teams which I don’t think any of the other PL sides can do. That’s the benefit of the riches they possess.

They still have to do the business on the pitch of course.

As for deserving to win the CL - I’m not quite sure I agree. They’ve not been good enough to win it in previous seasons. You only deserve to win the CL when you’ve won it.

They should have won it last year. Bad luck with var cost them. They would have won the Cl no doubt had they gotten past Tottenham

But they didn’t and they didn’t. And that is in no doubt.

They haven't broken the law, it's a rule, introduced incidentally by a corrupt organisation.
But City signed up to it and so deserve the punishment imo.
Even so the manager and players have earned all the plaudits.

Had it not been for a marginal offside they would have won against Tottenham.

It follows they would have beaten Ajax and Liverpool and thus won the CL

But they didn’t and they didn’t. What actually followed was Liverpool lifting the trophy for a 6th time.

Facts have relevance. That’s the beauty of them.

And of course by your rationale, Liverpool deserve the title this season; because, had it not been for an incorrect Mane off side decision, against Arsenal, then Liverpool would have won the PL last season.

My opinion is that Man City deserved to win the Champions League last season.

that Liverpool won it has no relevance to my opinion.

Why must Liverpool fans make every article about themselves

I wrote this article about Man City

Like I said, facts are more relevant than opinions.
