if his contracts been terminated at mutual consent... does it not make him a free agent. Meaning anyone can sign him.....not sure but would have thought so.

He's a free agent but the premier league has a rule where he can't join a pl club because he didn't end his contract until after the transfer window shut

yep.... balls......... we can't............Clubs can sign free agents after the deadline - at any stage of the season - so long as they left their previous club before the transfer deadline

I believe you can sign whoever you want, but they can't be registered to play for you.
