You could be right Mason. Mind I have to go with mainstream, I don't think I have an umlaut on this keyword. Not that I've checked, it's a French English one.
Now I've checked and there is one, who knew.

When he first started these articles he spelled it Juergen until I corrected him as it irked me every time

I think that’s how it works, 52. But often English people just write it without the umlaut. Which is why Jurgen and Ozil are seen more often than Juergen and Oezil.
