Do big clubs go a decade without winning things?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Liverpool went through a big spell at one point
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah but they've been there seen it and done it... Spurs haven't
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the last 20 years Liverpool have won

2 fa cups
3 league cups
2 CL
1 europa
3 super cups
1 FIFA World Cup

We’ve won
2 league cups

I’d say we’re a medium size club
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We’re a big club, there’s no debuting that

There’s lots to debate, what are the reasons to show we are a big club now?

2 (small) trophies in about 20 years.
No league title for 50 odd years

We don’t match up close to any of the other supposed top 6 teams in the Prem.

A mid size club that’s had a few decent years but back to sliding back down.

If you’re talking about the whole of English football we’re definitely a big club. 52 clubs (I think?) in the English Football League and I’d say a maximum of six are bigger than us.

You’re not saying why we are a big club bar 6 bigger.

We win no trophies
We barely get to any finals
We don’t show up in any finals we get too

We are just a extra that hangs around the top clubs hoping to become one but let ourselves down

I’d say being the 7th biggest club out of 72 professional teams automatically makes us pretty big. It’s not all about trophies but even if it was only about seven or eight have more honours than us

I don’t know how you can want to give this manager any transfer budget and any more time. Under any half decent manager you would hope to see some sort of improvement in 4 months, whether it’s in terms of shoring up the defence, playing style or even just player mentality. I see none of those things in fact we are only getting worse and now he’s starting to publicly slagoff our players. Say whatever you want about Poch but the man oozed class and any issues he had with players were kept up the dressing room.

I don’t want us to waste another minute or pound on this fraud of a manager. He spent hundreds of millions at Man Utd and sure he won a few trophies but he was still a miserable git that the fans hated and wanted out because of their playing style. Of course I would love spurs to win something but I don’t want to sacrifice enjoyment of watching football. As a season ticket holder of 27 years I’m not going to renew next year because I cannot stomach paying those ridiculous prices to be bored out of my mind for 90 mins every week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You want fancy football winning f** all every season. I want the club to win trophies mate. Mourinho gets my backing because he’s pretty much bought success at every single club he’s managed and I want to see Spurs successful, I am bloody desperate for it. Success for me isn’t going on CL runs, reaching finals and bottling it everytime. That might be success to you mate, but I don’t see that as success. Spurs have been baron in this department for far to long now and I believe a manager like Mourinho with a full summer/ pre season can possibly change that for Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And you honestly believe, having watched the disgraceful style of football that mourinho has managed to get from these players over the past 4 months, the pathetic recent results, that he is the man to bring us success? Back him for as long as you want, throw all the money at it you want, but the man is a dinosaur and hasn’t got a clue. We should have brought in a young progressive manager and backed him. I go to football matches to be entertained - winning a cup playing this football isn’t gona get me back to the stadium, I’ll still be bored as fack
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We lost 3-0 To Brighton in possibly the worse performance I have seen in years and 7-2 to Bayern under Pochettino’s leadership this season or are you conveniently forgetting this just to suit you’re anti Mourinho agenda ? We have been dogs** for over a year mate. Mate, I couldn’t give a flying f** about being “entertained” anymore. To dare is to do is the motto, so what good is that if you don’t want to enjoy seeing you’re club try and win trophies ? Give me a season of winning cup competitions and seeing Spurs successful any day over pretty football, bottling Semi finals and finals at every opportunity, I am sick to death of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t have a hissy fit son, I didn’t say anything about us not being complete sheet in the Brighton game under Poch. Don’t put words in my mouth. But just cos we were rubbish before doesn’t mean Mourinho is the right man to come in and manage us - I actually want us to improve not stay the same pile of shiite.

I go to football to be entertained. Of course it’s all about winning but if we’re gona win and play boring football I can watch that without spending £60-90 per game. I guess we can just agree to disagree - you want to watch football just for the winning, no matter how boring it may actually be to watch, and I want to go to be entertained. Thing is at the moment, doesn’t look like we’re gona get either!!

Liverpool have been winning trophies over the last 20 years, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Us? 2 league cups in 21 years, at best we are the fifth biggest team but my god in terms of success were a million miles behind these other five teams.

We need to start wining trophies sorry that’s the end game I just don’t understand how anything else matters at the end of the day.

I know we all want great football but we need to lose this bottle job tag, my god I’m fed up of just not having a winning mentality this is a streak that runs throughout this club and we need to finally get rid.

Let’s look forward to next season, we need new players so let’s see what happens in the summer, the past is the past, pointless now moaning about the fact that we were on a par if not better than Liverpool a few years ago, they went and rectified the problem and pushed on, we stood still and have now regressed.

Only after the summer transfer window and pre season will we know if the manager has been backed, or if he is going to have to juggle and squeeze the most he can out of a limited squad (again), if that’s the case then it will be as per usual for us..............

posted on 8/3/20

And we can judge José then too, if performance and results are not there by Christmas coupled with not enough resources spent in the summer then he won’t last long...........

I’m not going to bother wasting my energy on Levy/ENIC as everyone knows my feelings towards them, but for me this is literally their last chance to prove they are ambitious on the football field before I think fans will properly turn against them next season and to right. It’s imperative that they back Jose Mourinho properly in the summer and we move on from this dreaded season.

WHAT? One more chance for that lot?
Are you totally Stoooopid Don?
ENIC have to go...PERIOD!

Levy apparently told Supporters Trust that no CL will lower summer spending. He says there is no correlation between spending money and winning.
We are on a downward spiral which will last years.
ENIC don’t care because they know fans are loyal and the club is in our blood. They’ve got the stadium done which guarantees revenues.

Spurs are a massive football club with owners who act like a mid table club, as long as all us mugs keep turning up and generating the owners profits they are happy

"Levy was asked whether Spurs would be active in the transfer market to remain competitive, and the minutes from the meeting state that he "re-emphasised that he doesn't believe there's a direct correlation between winning and spending money. It's about making the right decisions."

THAT says it all!
"right decisions" ...... Dybala out, Bergwijn in ..!!

The latest supporters trust meeting with Levy is all but proof that Levy and ENIC do not share the same ambition for this club as the supporters. They don’t want this club pushing forward and are refusing to invest, it’s an absolute joke, #levyout #enicout

Only way to do it is hitting them where it hurts. If enough supporters didn’t turn up for the home games anymore, just maybe this sorry lot would soon take notice.
