Celtic 5 v 0 St Mirren

like yourself i only caught the highlights but that second goal is a contender for goal of the season.

Great play from griffiths and a pass that we only see innour team when rogic is in it.

that ball from edouard for the first as well, he's the best player in the country by a mile, nobody is even remotely close to him.

3-5-2 allows eddie to drop deeper to make things happen but also gived him support up top. Griffiths wasn't ready to lead the line alone as was evident by his perfor.ances as a sub earlier in the season.

This is formation suits both of them far better.

Big question for ibrox, who is the back 3?

basically, is it bitton or elhamed?

What you didn't see on tv was Bitton absolutely strolled it yet again.
Not under a lot of pressure although I could argue that having two keystone cops beside you is enough pressure for any man.
In the interests of balance it's worth pointing out that Goldson and Edmonson make Jullien and Ajer look like Baresi and Maldini.

Think Ajer is struggling. Calf strain, I hope he’s injured for it, he’s a liability in these games and it would force Lennon’s hand to play El Hammed.

Johnny Hayes could come in as well to be fair and play left back or left wing back.

Bitton, Julien and ElHamed would do for me even if its a bit risky.
Second goal actually started with a nice wee ball from Bitton in an advanced RB position to Griffiths.
He was doing that.
Nice to have a CD who really can bring it out and make a telling pass. Ajer's big breenges up the park are a great laugh but rarely effective.

Sunday will be interesting. Play to our strength or play to rangers’ weakness? Pack the defence and hit on the break, long balls bypassing our midfield - our supposed strength and where OF games are traditionally won or lost?

Then, there’s the selections. Will the buff play? Jack and Arfield fit? New injuries from Leverkusen? Will our players relax or be over-‘relaxed’ from the horses?

Arfield is out until April so he won’t play which is a loss for them.

Hopefully Kamara plays, I think Dundee done well to get 50 grand for him.

Celtic suit rangers because their style against us is to open up and take the game to us like we get in Europe
The pragmatic way would be to kill the game and break with a long ball but I’m not sure that would be acceptable to your fans

Ntcham is key for me, if he’s fit then he can be the difference.

Christie hasn’t had a single good Of game. Rogic has but question marks if he could handle the pace of them now.

I really hope we go 3-5-2 on Sunday.

Eddy and Griffiths will destroy that Rangers defence.

County had them all over the place.

I just hope that Copenhagen was another lesson for Lennon, to stop trying to be smart and just do what works for us.

That's the concern, he does try to be too clever in these games.

We've only deserved to win 1 of them since he came back, we've played 5, somehow managed to win another 2.

League won or not, Lennon can't really afford to lose another OF game to Gerrard and be outplayed.

No excuses, we are flying just now, have a full eight days to prepare and are playing a team in poor form, hit by injuries and playing a very tough match on Thu night.

I can see us winning no problem.

I'd expect Rangers to try play on our 3 CB's with Kent, Hagi and Morelos all occupying one, concern would probably be Kent's pace against Julien or Biton, El Hammed would be fine.

Just before our second goal I was daydreaming thinking how it was an uneventful game that wouldn't last long in the memory then a moment of magic from Griffiths

Baffling how we can play so well with they two up top then for a few games decide to change it. Saturday showed how lethal they can be together.

I would have made the St Mirren keeper Man of the Match. Daft at 5-0 but he stopped it being double figures

I thought Rangers would be absolutely desperate to put in a top performance yesterday Zach, let everyone know they are not as bad as some are making out. But despite the 3 point, it was pretty toothless, and they can thank McGregor twice for getting those points.

Only saw highlights as I was at rugby
To be fair their keeper had some saves as well
We rarely go up there and roll over them although our record is decent(it should be)

We continue to be utter schite, it was a painful watch if ultimately a deserved win.

Leverkusen will rip us a new erse and the tie will be over after Thursday imo.

Celtic will have to have something up their sleeve against us, their system has been found out v us previously so i think they have to change it which might catch us out.
