Feel sorry for him. He must be shattered have Sterling repeatedly in his back pocket. Maybe why he's blowing out his asss late on in games

I thought he was excellent last night, He's the best right-back in the Premier League personally, I can't remember a right-back having Raheem Sterling in his pocket 3 times, It's unheard of.

He's a better defender than TAA but TAA is much better attacker amongst the two. If you had AWB defensive ability mixed with TAA's attacking ability you'd have the modern Cafu.

Comments about his final ball have certainly been called into question recently - amazing how some people were so quick to write him off.

dont think it should be laughed off to be honest as it really does depend on what you want in a defender and how your team plays.
if youre looking for a RB to defend behind a winger who wont give any protective cover then id take AWB over Trent.
if your looking for a full back to get forward and provide then i'd take trent.
I hand on heart must say while maguire has been decent this year and had opposition fans laughin when he made a sole mistake or something, AWB whenever i've seen him has looked awful.
He was good yesterday though. But yeah, have not been impressed.

You haven't seen him much. He has had a handful of poor games but by and large defensively superb. He was fantastic at the Etihad aswell

That last point is a really good point.
People like TOOR will add a smiley to the debate, like a buffoon, but the truth is that TAA and Robertson are the main channels for Liverpool's attack... AWB isn't for United.
That doesn't mean I think he's better, but it does mean that we'll always struggle to judge them properly whilst they're playing those roles.
I always thought Neville was okay offensively but you never really saw it until Beckham left.

Then you'd know defensively he is as good as anyone. Offensively he needs some work although he has put in some cracking crosses. Still way off the likes of TAA and Ricardo offensively though
