Douglas is not on 90k

That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever read

Augustin on a massive wage, but we are not paying it all but we are paying over half.

It's another hugely expensive gamble.

I was all for bringing in a player whom we might not need at end of the day,. but not to pay such stupid amounts for an unfit player who just is not ready to play.

How much are we actually paying him then?

because all I'm reading are people's speculations..

it was only a few months ago Jonty you were telling us that Bamford was on 50k per week, then it came out that we were paying him 35k.

seems like people on this thread upping his wages out of pure speculation to suit or a back up a dig at the club. the same club that's top of the league, hitting form and looking like on the way to the premier league. We've got the best set up and team we've had for a long long time and still people making stupid things up to be negative.

give it rest FFS

If that is true and no reason to doubt it is rgw worst deal in the history if the club and we have had a few. Astonishing.

If we go up it is all about the brilliant coaching and performance of the players rather than contributions from those above.

So the owner didn’t have anything to do with recruiting Bielsa and his staff?

Think about it before you slag off the very people who made all this possible.

Yes Bielsa is the best signing this club has made in recent times and yes Radz et al brought him in but based on the historic inconsistent approach from the said executive team - Was this a stroke of luck, last throw of the dice or was it by design?

I have thought about it stand by 100% by the comments . The appointment of Bielsa was indeed a masterstroke but it does not give a free pass for every decision thereafter, especially on recruitment. Don is usually well informed by his sources so to hear those sorts of numbers even if we were paying some of that is going to attract comments.

Feel free to check my history.I will give credit where it is due and frequently do and criticise when it is warranted and will continue to do so.have a nice day.

Poveda just created a very nice assist in the U23’s. He does look lively but unless Costa or Harrison get injured I can’t see him starting this season.

Holy cow - even if we're only paying half, that's a lot of money for Augustin being unfit to play when signed. Orta got carried away again then?

I worry we have a lot of obligations already if we are promoted - 15 m for Costa, plus Harrison 8m and White will be silly money, plus now 17 or 21 for Augustin and 5 for Meslier.

Strewth, the promotion bonus disappears in an instant, and we've not really been out shopping.

So the question will, be, if we go up this year, and if Bielsa stays on (big ifs), will this squad stay together and keep us up next season. Couldn't handle coming straight back down again after the past 15 years!

Unless Radrizzani sells up and someone with serious money takes over.

I think the current squad with a few extras would survive a season in the PL. Bielsa has to stay though.
