Think the guy deserves a year extension as always gives his all for the cause

He deserves a 1 year deal. He's a good defender and tackles well. Love the guy.

At the start of the season i would have said let him go. However hes been great this season when hes played so hw does deserve a contract extension in my opinion

Sorry still don't agree, do not "hate" Berardi but putting all sentimentality aside, you even you guys need to be asking is he good enough for the Premier League and that's the bottom line when thinking about contract extensions in the summer.
Reckon all of us will be pig sick if we do not strengthen key areas during the closed season, one of which will be CB and he will slip further down the pecking order.
Pretty sure he will not be with us come the beginning of next season.

33 yr old Dallas and cooper won’t be good enough but didn’t stop us giving them long deals.

Not sure anyone hates Bera do they?

I think a lot of us got annoyed when his petulance played a part in us losing to Derby in the Semi last year.

We aren't 10 years old anymore. A player who has consistently got sent off isn't a super hero. He is a liability.

He seems different this season. More mature. Credit to hom for that

I don't blame him for the Derby game, I blame a team that had the advantage and a few didn't take it!..

It played its part but there were more to blame then just that red card!..

As for the Premier,(if we make it!)I'd love for him to stay, but I think even a few players we have now that are starters, even with long contracts will find players coming in which will put their places at risk!..

You's don't think all this team will stay together if we are promoted do you's?..

Could have still won the game his red. We had just scored and were dominating the ball. Red changed the game. Deserved more criticism than he got at the time

I’ve said before, Berardi is a favourite of mine. I really hope the club give him a new contract - even if it is only for one year. He is Leeds through and through. At least give him a chance to see what he can do - if we go up (I’m whispering those words and crossing my fingers).

Far too simplistic to blame last season on Berardi and that red card against Derby. Of course it didn't help in that game, but the reality is we should never have been in the playoffs at all, had the team as a whole, suffered jitters. My recollection of that run in was a team having loads of possession but failing to score and opposition consistently punishing us.

Lot of people blaming him for Derby defeat but I reckon ref didn't help him by ignoring he had been fouled at least twice when surrounded by 3 players before his lunge that got him sent off. The guy gives everything for the cause and should be rewarded. Maybe give him a year as player coach as I'm sure I read somewhere he was interested in going down that route

I may have said last week on a similar thread: Love Berra

Bielsa, Casilla, Cooper all made errors that night before Berardi did, having said that, we were back in the game before his rash challenge. We had no senior subs and probably would have gone onto lose anyway.

He's still here after the Cellino fiasco and has played well over 100 games for us and played well and pretty much all of em. Attitude > Ability

Fact is, when he comes in, he often plays as well as, or better than, the player he replaces. If you look for his weaknesses, you will find them. If you look to his strengths, you will be hard pressed to find a player who contributes more to the team.

I say keep him for defo for another season, he'll do well in the Premiership - if we go up ! He's mighty stuff, has the latin blood in him.

So unrealistic to think that an ageing make do and mend defender has the necessary skills to do well in the Premier League is quite frankly laughable and just shows how delusionalary people are.
If this is the level of people's ambition when we go up it is really worrying.

Berardi is a good player, but like I said back there somewhere, I don't think all players we now have will be there if we make the Premiership!..

Some will stay and some will go, but if things are done correctly better will be brought in!..

Shaun are you for real no senior subs Jannson was on. the bench and should have been brought on when Berardi got a yellow card so Bielsa totally to blame .Anyway onwards and upwards all will be forgiven if he gets us up this season.
