Hmmm, not sure that's the way I'm reading it? I think they want everyone to abandon domestic football so they CAN run the Euros?

But, it isn't about the money, oh, no, no, no...

My capitals...

It is understood that no option is off-limits but UEFA is mindful of the considerable financial implications involved.

A complete shutdown of European football this summer is the LEAST-favoured option, while Europe's governing body would still need clubs and associations to agree to any changes.

Restrictions on the sale of travel insurance by two companies ATM likely to encourage other insurers to withdraw from the market.

Fvcking typical. Booked to go to Portugal late May but not not yet got travel insurance. Usually leave it to a few weeks before traveling.

Feeling this isn't going to end well.

Seems strange, Izzy because we talked to her 90yo mother's insurers cos she is thinking of going ahead a Greek trip in May. They said even though you had it you won't be covered because it is a known issue before you go even if the govs are allowing travel. Of course, maybe they are just saying that to minimise claims? Who knows?

Uefa have called an emergency meeting for Tuesday in which the possibility of postponing Euro 2020 by one year is an option being discussed.

European football's governing body will hold video conference meetings to discuss its response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Discussions will cover all domestic and European competitions, including Euro 2020.

Euro 2020 is due to take place from 12 June-12 July at venues across Europe.

Uefa has invited representatives of its 55 member associations, plus the boards of the European Club Association, the European leagues and a representative of world players' union Fifpro.

The Women's Euros are due to take place in England from 11 July-1 August 2021.

Sturgeon has just given guidelines regarding the gathering of 500 or more

She never said 'as of Monday' , that I heard ...?

I assume the OF game will be behind closed doors ? Anyone confirm?

Sturgeon said when they close schools it's likely that'll be them until the summer

"Decisions to withdraw from the market or limit cover reflect growing concern in the industry about the cost of the virus

"There's enormous variation in the quality of travel insurance. An increasing number for example will not allow any treatment in private hospitals even when public hospitals don't offer the necessary facilities and expertise"

Customers are urged to check the small print and use a reputable insurer.

Fooking teacher strikes of the mid-70s fckd up a lot of kids.

What about the ones doing exams needed for college or uni? Just award the prelim grade? A lot will be fckd by that.

I wonder if life insurers will roll out some pandemic small print clause? Not that it should cost too much as older folk less likely to have insurance.

I'm assuming it gets to the stage where there's no point testing / can't possibly test everyone with symptoms?

I don't think anyone will be getting tested unless they're in hospital because people are being actively discouraged from turning up at any medical centre and just let it run its course at home.

I think that's the general plan.

just as an example

say a leverkusen player gets the virus, then he passes it onto a rangers player, who then infects the rangers team, who then pass it to celtic players on sunday.

madness.

our only hope is if morelos is the rangers player thay catches it given he is unlikely to succeed in giving celtic anything but a laugh

We shouldn’t but .....

Game shouldn’t be on but now that it is, let’s get it won and then if they do need to just finish the season as is, there can be no arguments for where the title should go.

I’m not sure if they would expedite a play off scenario for bottom of the league maybe? Behind closed doors obviously.

Or do they cancel the Euro’s and then postpone all domestic football for 1 month then get it going again?
