Elsbels are you the fooking idiot buying all the toilet rolls?
Can you get out somewhere quiet in the countryside, Rob? That's probably what I'd be doing if I was taking those sorts of meds.
Waiting on Macron for a tv announcement here tonight but my son lives in Norway which has apparently just shut its borders to all passengers.
Johnson won't shut down, won't even set comprehensive testing up, for fear of disrupting the economy. Suck it and see. Macron's been surprisingly similar - but maybe tonight he'll set out a plan of action. He needs to show some leadership as he's not popular and a restriction decree will make him less popular still.
We've just got to stop moving about to delay the spread so that the health systems are not overwhelmed. The Norwegians are a pretty smart people, I reckon. Johnson, Gove, Sunak, etc? I'm not convinced at all.

Good job being a feckin idiot isn't contagious. Heaven knows how long lowlands and elland would need to self isolate for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah to isolate ourselves from you lot.
Did have to nip out earlier walking behind a guy with a bug bag of toilet rolls before he promptly spat on the street .
Work have been very supportive and I am lucky to be able to work remotely.
Looks like Euros will be cancelled so that domestic leagues can be completed by July if need be.
This is a sensible decision and means all promotion and relegation issues will definitely be resolved even if it takes an extra 8 weeks after the original season end.
As I said, there should not be any playoffs, just make the top three go up which is the logical way anyway.

Explain that to the relatives of those who've lost family members to it - regardless of there age and any pre-existing conditions.
Personally I can work from home and it won't make a jot of difference to what I can do work wise. Travelling to the office is more of a cultural and routine thing, to be with colleagues. But no reason, for a period of time, I can't chat via skype/teams etc... to still do my job.
Overreaction - possibly. Certainly some of the stories from the shops. But no reason why people shouldn't take sensible precautions.

My view is that this is a serious situation. However, many have been whipped up into a hysteria.
Right now it is easy to say flu takes many more lives every year but this situation is still developing. There are flu vaccines which are not perfect and people who are inoculated sometimes fall prey to other strains that they were not vaccinated against. There is no preventative medical solution for this virus yet, which means everyone is vulnerable to it.
As as I understand it, we should have concern as:
1) The virus is highly contagious, easy to transmit,
2) No immunization against it,
3) Lethal to vulnerable people,
4) Lack of real scientific knowledge of the virus,
5) Insufficient test kits,
6) Many locations not having sufficient resources to hospitalize victims.
