What's it like in 8th place?
Definitely still a good season for you guys, I guess the only shame from your perspective is that it isn't a great one. Still, I'd take winning the title for sure.
Atlético deserved to go through, not enough credit to them for being put under immense pressure and coming out on top. They exposed our weaknesses and we have to go away and work on those during the summer.
But the trophy we really all want is pretty much in the bag. Very happy with that.
That's the difficulty of winning the CLl, have a game where you miss your chances and you're out the competition. Pleased with our performance but obviously dissapointing result.
Would have been ecstatic with just the league win at the start of the season and its gonna happen. Two other trophies to go with it to

No away goal can always come back to bite you and yesterday it did. One mistake is all they needed and they took full advantage. I was still happy with how well we played.
PL was the holy grail this season so you have to be delighted with that.
Big summer ahead (assuming no games). We need to strengthen for sure. Can't have a forward who had to wait a full year to score a goal at Anfield. He needs good competition.

They 100% deserved to go through, and we didn't.
Our strikers were facking atrocious.
They could have smashed us if they were braver.
We should have won in 90 mins. missed too many chances
We had the lead and we threw it away
I felt that this was because they were too negative as when they pushed up and hassled us they created huge problems.

tough luck guys. the better team lost, should have scored in regular time and won by 2 or 3.
I felt there was no athletico madrid masterclass last night. It was just sheer grit, determination, great keeper wayward finishing a bit from us and a stroke of luck for them.The masterclass was in Madrid where they restricted us to like 0 or 1 shot on target.
The problem for them is though can they be able to do that again versus bayern, city or barca

We managed fine last season challenging to the wire on both fronts. The pressure was on last season to the wire and we won our last 9 league games and took home the champions league so thats blown that theory right out the water.
Atletico deserved to go through, they took their chances, we fluffed multiple chances then our goalie gave them the shot in the arm they needed. They were out on their feet before that, absolutely gone.
We are a better team than them no doubt. But they thoroughly deserved to go through. Happens all the time in football.
