So long as they play with fully manual controls I'm good with that. Anyone who thinks they are actually good at FIFA playing with default assist/semi-assisted controller settings just makes me cringe.

Manual controls on FIFA isn't fully manual anyway, the game still controls what you do.
Any manual player who thinks they're better than a non manual player makes me cringe

That's what everyone who can't adjust to manual says

Full manual controls is full manual, the ball goes exactly where you direct it. If you play on semi or assisted the game is deciding where the ball goes for you.

I played full manual on FIFA 18 and 19, the ball does not go where you want it to and neither do shots.
Essentially 'manual' is still based on whatever code EA put together to make it manual, so for you to believe you're a pro playing manual, that's very sweet.

I don't know about FIFA20 as I don't use manual passing or shooting but I do use 'manual' auto switching, the game still auto switches for me in the most ridiculous of situations.
The game is coded/scripted poorly.

I've played full manual since Fifa 12.

You need to reduce pass and shooting error to zero in order for it to be full manual, since you will make your own errors considering you have to correctly direct and power every pass, shot, cross and whatever else.

This is true full manual, so long as you have passing error and shooting error on 50% the computer will randomly choose to mess up things you have made no error yourself with.

Every setting should be on manual besides maybe Goalkeeper which is ok to leave on semi as far as I'm concerned.

The game is trash that's why I barely play it anymore, seasons going by without the AI receiving a single red card is so unrealistic.

But I know for sure that when I played like that^ the ball went exactly where I wanted it to go every time and any error was based on me not correctly positioning the analogue sticks or not powering enough/too much.
