You’re coming across as a jobsworth now

Amendments are made in extraordinary circumstances that are nothing to do with football.

They will bend over backwards to get the season done given the financial ramifications and promotions/relegations and European places.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sure the authorities will bend over backwards.

After all what's a potentially few extra thousand deaths compared to getting a sporting event finished.

After all Boris just loves the Conservative supporting Liverpool area.He will insist that the fixture list is fulfilled whatever it costs in human life lost.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My wordthere won’t be crowds in attendance, they will just want to get the season done.

You really do lack any sort of imagination.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Italian league/government have already stopped games being played behind closed doors.

I am only stating what's going on here and now. It's not only about the crowds it's about sporting events being stopped. The statement from the prime minister a few hours ago mentioned postponing sporting events and not simply having sporting events without crowds.

I take it you can read
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think we all get that there will be a period where matches aren’t played and schools will be shut , but it won’t be forever with the warm weather then matches could be played again in may and June . In which case the league can then be finished

You do know the virus has been surviving and thriving in Countries like Singapore who's lowest temperature ever recorded is 21 degrees celcius.

I think the hope that the warmer weather will kill it off quickly could be stretching it a bit

It’s not the case that it will disappear , it’s about leveling out the numbers catching it so the nhs can cope that is where the warm weather comes in as nhs demand is much lower then . In reality vast majority of the population will catch it over the next 18 mths

In the UK that notion is absurd.

I agree with the likelihood of the vast majority of people eventually catching it and in most cases it's going to be an inconvenience rather than a threat to life.

How long do the government do a king Canute impression and try and turn back the inevitable tide?

Thus virus is not going to peak in England to a roundabout July, so zero chance of any games being played then.

And here comes the WHO chief 🙄

Sandy survived the bubonic plague so he knows what he's talking about

Sandy went to school with isaac newton.

When the plague closed their school isaac developed his theory of gravity.

Sandy spent the time whinging about something or other.

Should just wish them the best and arsenal should have all games postponed.

I reckon they knew knew this and this is why city game got chucked.

Bit more honesty needed here imo.

Leicester should be postoned too.

They canned that game because the owner of Olympiacos was diagnosed after meeting arsenal staff and players so arsenal players went into self isolation

Clearly arteta probably got it from him

Good job olympiacos weren’t playing anyone tonight....

Can imagine Sky, BT et al having something to say about the season being voided after 30 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That something to say will only be: “cash rebate.”

The CEO of BT has been confirmed with COVID today as well. BT/Sky can’t afford the PR of being seen to be putting profit ahead of health.

Chelsea got corona. Season over.

Doubts always remain about LFC’s title win

This is due to peak in June.

Thd season is done.

I honestly couldn't care if they give you the title, you deserve it.

Its not about titles or petty wumming. Its about public health.

until boris and his lot shut the country down this will be a farce.

Cheltenham still going on but f1 racing and players championship cancelled after they even tried bheind closed doors.

3 teams already infected. clearly zero standards and hygeine practices employed.

the key concern should be public safety and congregating for a football match is clearly wrong.

It seems some teams will be forced to play on saturday as it stands but i can see the lot being off after meetings today.

If not then I can see it happening for sunday's games.

It would be lunacy to continue with heads in sand here.
