Boris seems to be going for a ‘business as usual’ rhetoric which could well kill off a lot of older people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not what he said today. Not what the Government are saying either.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

He’s decided against banning mass events and closing schools. His rationale is he wants to herd immunise the country. A risky move considering how unprepared the country is for mass casualties

Where do all the kids go when you shut the schools Robb? To their grandparents. And who is most likely to die from the virus?

I'm not a fan of Boris at all but I am willing to listen to his scientists. Not an obvious strategy but one that makes sense I think. I could see the logic anyway in the 'Delay' phase.

TBF to Jose he saw something in McT that many didn't. However, under Jose McT was poor most of the time. Jose used McT as a pawn in his battle of wits with Ed and the owners because he felt he didn't have the players he wanted. Which was unfair on a young player like McT.

The fact is that under Ole, McT has now blossomed into a real deal.

The kids are more likely to get it, but less likely to die from it. So let's send them to socialise with the people that would otherwise be least likely to catch it, but most likely to die from it.

Every country is closing schools but England

Every country is banning public gathering but England

Just seems weird that Boris is taking this advice even though experts in Italy are imploring for everything in England to close as they can see what’s happening on Italy a mirror image of what will happen in England

The recent results are more down to the presence of the genuine quality and/or experience of those with genuine quality and/or experience - like duh.

It's down to mata, fred, matic, james, fernandes, ighalo, awb, maguire, not the academians. Greenwood is just another at a welbeck/rashford level and McTominay is no better or worse than cleverley. Nothing wrong with that, but they are not the future of a successful, ambitious club.

The academy hasn't produced a genuine United quality player since Pogba, and none before that for over ten years - and there are zero signs of that changing.

Hope I'm wrong, but that would be a very rare thing indeed

Schools will shut down soon anyway as in the next 2/3 weeks this country is going to get very very facked up - along with all other countries

This is very possible. That is what happens with Pandemics.

......

Which is why sport in the U.K. will soon shut down. It had to and Boris is only too aware of that. He has to play catch 22.

What ever he does he can’t win. Said the same about the orange buffoon as well.

The experts are apparently advising that cancelling big sports events won’t have much of an impact on the spread.

Scotland are starting it to cancel events in order to ease the strain on frontline services such as policing and ambulances, rather than stopping spread.

I think the difference was probably that Jose had seen him play for the U23s, where he was excellent, and watched him in training.

Whereas people on here hadn’t done that.
