Quarter final schedule all updated the final will be best of 19 instead of best of 25 though unfortunately. I hope there will be active participants for this major event!
Here we go Neil Robertson will be favourite for today's match but Stephen Maguire can sometimes be good and on fire.
Wow great win by Maguire. 9-5 victory. He made 6 centuries including 4 centuries in a row.
Did anyone watch the match? Pockets absolutely massive - like a pool table!!
Maguire still played well, but there were quite a few pots which hit the cushion a good 6-12 inches from pocket and still fell in. Even he looked shocked when some of them dropped.......however, as I backed him, long may it continue

Yep there were a few shots I had no idea how they went in. I thought the standard of the match was very good. Judd Trump in action today against John Higgins.
Judd Trumo and John Higgins both very nervy this afternoon with a lot of mistakes and a lot of tactical frames. Judd Trump leads 5-3, he will be relieved to still be ahead and stole a lot of those frames.

*Judd Trump* I feel so ashamed spelling his name incorrect initially
Only saw bits of the afternoon interval, but Higgins seemed to be missing a lot and getting decent run of the ball. Looked like Judd could have been further ahead. Hopefully both up their game tonight for a close finish.
Judd Trump wins 9-4 improvement from him this evening. He made a century break but will need to be a lot better against Maguire.
How jammy was Selby there??!!! Flukes re-spotted black for 7-5 interval lead
I know right that was crazy and a massive turning point
Selby wins 9-6 Yan needs to improve on his positional play and try and get the reds open earlier on, he refused that a lot and I felt that costed him a fair few frames.
Shaun Murphy flukes frame ball and levels it at 4-4. He's made 3 centuries and it will be an intriguing evening session.
Great match overall, Shaun Murphy made 6 centuries but still lost 9-8, Mark Allen got a huge fluke in the deciding frame and took advantage of it. Unfortunately for some reason this thread is dead despite the fact this is a huge tournament!
Terribly day for Judd Trump losing 9-6 he played very poorly but Maguire certainly had the run of the balls. Several flukes and fluked Snookers at crucial times.
Selby got absolutely hammered 9-2 by Mark Allen. Is Maguire going to clinch his first ranking title for 7 years?
Yes he can. 10-6 victory for Maguire. What a performance from him. He wasn't supposed to even be in the event but he's taken full advantage of playing in Dings place.
