Liverpool have won the title in all but name.
Whatever decision is made by authorities we all know this.

I imagine we will hear more about the immediate plans following the UEFA meeting on Tuesday.

Greg Clark has a history of talking absolute shiiiiiit.

I think the Euros will be cancelled and should the peak tail off in the summer as expected then the league could be completed while the new season is delayed

Cancelling this season and declaring it void would be ridiculous and I don’t see it being an option. For me the season has to be completed
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed.

Blackpool didn't make this fuss when the 1939-1940 season was cancelled, despite them being top at the time:

To be honest Liverpool were in need of a break, this has helped not hindered them.

They'll likely still win a title and they still have that air of Invisibility, to PL sides at least. Another 3-4 games playing the way they have and it could have eaten away at their confidence going into next season.

Well, every team is going to have an air of invisibility for the next few weeks!

Maybe that's how we'll remember the title-winning Liverpool team of 2019-20 after all: not the Unbearables, but the Invisibles.

Sensible people: *presents logical solution for how season can be completed*
The others: hmm, sounds complicated. Might as well void it.

That's the pattern this board will follow until any further announcements are made.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Liverpool fans: Anything that gets us the title is sensible. Football is more important than anything else, so despite the future being an unknown; we must complete the season. Everyone else is not sensible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Erm not quite.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You've literally just called everyone who agrees with you that the season should be completed so Liverpool get the title sensible; implying that everyone who disagrees is not sensible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I like the way you've added your own assumption to what I said there. The fact is, if there are logical solutions to completing the season, which as it stands there are, then the notion of voiding the season doesn't come into it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There are also logical seasons to just calling it a day. In times of crisis, Liverpool winning the title and Leeds getting promoted is a long, long way down the list of priorities.

If it was just called off now, everybody should just accept it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sandy despite your age you clearly have no idea how the works really works , huge commercial organizations don’t just accept things and shrug their shoulders
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re forgetting Sandy is a Spurs fan....
Every season Spurs Fans have to accept they’re trophy less again shrug their shoulders and hope next year is better!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Typical response in a time of crisis, try to make cheap jokes. Carry on in Liverpool all you want, but don`t come bleating to us all, when you are filling your morgues up with dead people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sandy! If truth be known you’re not worried about Liverpool filling morgues, you’re worried about Liverpool filling their trophy cabinet!

Yeah gladly see Liverpool crowned champions, they throughly deserve it.

As for everything else relegation, promotion, champions league spots, where do they start
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You cant have one without the others. So if they cannot figure out what to do with the CL/EL/Relegation spots, than no title to Liverpool either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah that's why they'll complete the season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, thats why they cancel the season.

There is no perfect solution, every scenario has flaes. Plus at the moment we don't know how long the crisis will last. The best gu seems to be autumn, but that could be weeks out.
I think we need to wait until we can see the end and, and choose the fairest option.
For us fans it's annoying, for some clubs ruin, and for some people death.
Let's ho it turns out better than the dire forecasts

Dutch FA sees an option in completing it with two matches per week, if there is enough time left.

Or play into May June, but only if the Euros are delayed till next year.

It all depends on when its relatively safe to go back to normal.

Yeah if the Euros are cancelled as expected and play can resume at some point during mid to late summer, I would imagine all leagues would do this. Might take a little longer for some of the European leagues than ours because I think some of them have more games to play because of their longer winter break.

I hope its in june/july time.

Say 10 games over 40 days and give the players a few months off now.

There will not be a hope in hell of playing any football in June. Why do you think they have cancelled the euros?

In fact I doubt there will be any football this year.

mmmm let me guess.

Liverpool fan?

Get a grip for Christ's sake. This is a serious situation we are all facing. Not just the health implications but the economic fallout and chaos it will cause.

Of course its an option to cancel everything in football and void this season. And it is the most obvious one too. You are deluded if you think the virus will be over before the summer.

Its tough on many more teams than just Liverpool. You will just have to deal with it.
