frightening times, we are lucky as the wife has been told to work from home from today until this is all but over with so the weans coming off school wont be a problem going forward.

Money is going to be a problem for almost everyone, time for the govt to step in and protect peoples homes and utilities during this.

Don't care if you have a Castle or a bedsit, mortgages, private rents, council housing all should be put on hold to allow people to redirect their money into food, communications, hygiene and pharmaceutical products.

Ok. I’m with you 90% on this but it has to be means tested and a simple run through of bank account, savings and dare I say immediate liquid assets should be taken into account on an affordability basis.

Those who can pay should continue to pay and release more for those in greater difficulty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

My worry is I'm not sure how quickly anything can be implemented.
Lot of anxiety in the short term.

"Naw yer no, yer in ma office"
"Aye, heres ma self cert"proceeds to try to hand me a form.

FFS! That`s why it spreads so easily. People are either too dumb, or won`t take it seriously

Naismith will be first to tear up and walk, he has previous

Btw Hearts will only be the first, others will follow, a lot of lower league clubs for a start and those with tight margins in the top flight.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think I understand what you are saying. In effect

Hearts will have done a financial projection and concluded how long they can continue with the current revenue stream v the current costs.

Whatever that concluded they see that to lengthen the business solvency time frame it needs short term and immediate costs cutting.
