I said it yesterday but Earth is getting a much needed holiday, some of the pictures and videos of things we've done very well to try destroy are very pleasing.

Another 2/3 weeks of this might just be the best thing for the whole world..

Hearts will have done a financial projection and concluded how long they can continue with the current revenue stream v the current costs.

Whatever that concluded they see that to lengthen the business solvency time frame it needs short term and immediate costs cutting.

Better trying to deal with it than whistling and hoping

If its 8 weeks of no income then that might be 1 million out the income budget.

If they can save say 250k with these measures then it helps.

A few well run clubs with cash in the bank and credit lines from the bank may well be able to ride it out with a certain amount of damage limitation.

sounds like a phil ism
Im sure it is
I would think the banks will be reviewing all credit lines given the magnitude of what could follow outside football.

Here’s a poser.

It’s around this time we get the season book renewal requests.

Starting again to finish the season in April is a joke and I have very serious doubts about it being June. My guess is we’re looking at late July or even later as we can forget playing behind closed doors if clubs refuse and we will still need all the emergency services elsewhere.

So with that in mind and the knock on affect of the new season not starting until way September or October; who is going to part with their hard earned when jobs all over the place will be a severe risk?

That’s the real cost which will see clubs go. Sheer lack of cash flow and my start date suggestions are just that. No guarantees at all.

I’ll renew but I fear I’ll be in a small minority who can.

what was a normal life style cost will become a family priority discussion.

Could even take years to return to normality

celtic put a tweet out yesterday and as a footnote added a bit about renewing the season tickets online.

to much backlash.

the ended up deleting it and then sending it out again without the footnote.

shameless man.

Ginger

It'll be some time before anything is back to normal but amazingly, football will take up a lot of people's money because it's what we do.

I'll never take another Celtic v Hamilton on a Wednesday night in -2 degree conditions for granted ever again

Season ticket renewals are going to take some hit Ginger, that is a given I reckon.

People don't even know right now what they are purchasing, how many games? How many cup games? European games?

Will there be a LC?
Will it be a condensed season and will the price reflect this?

and so on...…..

If null and void happens refunds on this season for a start.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I just can’t see null and void although I suppose the EPL decision today will give us the guidance.

Said it before but footballers should go on statutory sick pay to help out.
