50 grand each from two of the biggest PL teams is poor showing tbh.
That's great. But it does appear to be rather small for arguably the two richest clubs in England.
Especially when you consider that Robert Lewandowski and his wife Ana have given 1 million $ to the fight against the virus
Sorry, great gesture but paying Sánchez 350k a week and then donating only 50k seems a bit low.

A great gesture from both multibillion dollar companies
Lewandoski alone donated a million euros...
Steady on people. £100k is a huge amount of money for any Food Bank! Way more money than they could possibly need to cover their operating costs. We’re talking about banks just in Manchester here, last year the total funding given to food banks nationwide was £1.2m.

Yup. Better than nothing but a pittance to them.
This is just what a couple of local clubs gave to local charties and it will actually make a huge difference to those involved.
Leroy Sane donated €500,000 if you wish to talk about personal donations, feel free to tell us what your players have been giving.

A nice gesture. Would have been even better if it was £50k each every week from both clubs until the pandemic is gone.
It's £100,000 which is not nothing. Especially as it's at a time when they will be losing money hand over fist.
Also it's a bit mean minded to complain about how much somebody else has given to charity.
I like the Juan Mata one best because it's continuous Good man Jurgen signed up for that.

Context though. Two companies worth a combined what, 3 - 4 billion giving 50k each is pittance. Now it shouldn't be sniffed at because it may be all that is required for the moment and it's an ongoing thing/ both clubs will help out elsewhere but as a one off gesture, it's hardly worth shouting about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Funny, when the discussion about the CL FFP was going on here, Liverpool fans claimed that the clubs wasnt worth more than 2bn and heavily inflated. Now City is worth 4bn
You lot change the 'facts' to whatever fits your argument
I know it may seem a little low compared to some personal donations but I really don’t think Lewandowski should be the benchmark - that was extraordinary.
If every large corporation gave £50k to food banks then it would make a massive difference, I’m certainly not going to criticise Utd and City for doing their bit.

The publicity the food banks will get because of this will be just as valuable. Sometimes clubs just can't win. Well done to all doing their bit. Lewandowski's effort is amazing though fair play.
