From the snippets that I saw on TV I think he got off because the accusations were not ‘Beyond reasonable doubt’.

Surprised at that? the number of accusers made me think he was certain to get a guilty verdict and the type of woman who made the accusations didn't seem the sort who would make them without at least something having happened?

But all we have is the evidence and court decision and I was never present when any of these "offences" took place so will never truly know if he did or didn't?

12 charges found not guilty
1 charge found not proven

Former first minister of Scotland Alex Salmond has been acquitted of all charges against him.

He was cleared on numerous charges, including attempted rape and a series of sexual assaults, including one with intent to rape.

GIRFUY (just the cvnts btw)

If he has been found not guilty then he is not guilty.
We are not like other countries were accusers can be paid off

I will not get into speculation about him but the fact that 12 are not guilty tells it's own story.

The not proven one however is a disgrace. It should never have gone to court unless there was sufficient evidence.

This will be his reputation regardless of the outcome now.

This is astounding if correct...given the amount of accusers

Anyone who is interested in what happened in and around the trial should read Craig Murray's blog.

He was clear from the outset that salmond would be cleared.

People get carried away by the multiple accusers thing.

We haven't heard the last of this trial but i reckon Salmond will keep his powder dry until we are over the current crisis.

Well..that's how it's supposed to work to be fair.

And btw...the selective reporting on the trial was a disgrace.

That tends to be when not proven comes in. But he got not guilty on 12 which is huge.

I agree with Magnum on this. He'll stay quiet until the virus blows over

Is he taking penicillin for it?

He might not say too much seeing as he acknowledged having a couple of liaisons in Bute house that he shouldn’t have had.

Clearly much more to come out that hasn’t been said in court.

Carlaw could help himself take a pop at Nicola over it. What a whank.
