I don't believe anyone outside the senile haven't got the message. Surely they can figure out what is essential by themselves.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The thing is that it's not just the senile.

We have sensible and very intelligent people deciding to up roots and move up county to protect themselves and have an elongated holiday because they can afford to.

We have senior board members of large organisations trying to massage "essential" into their business so they can carry on earning.

We have millions of self employed who have no real help and have a choice of trying to manage a health risk against providing for their family and paying bills.

We have millions who believe it is their "right" to essentially do what they want

and.....

....hardly any of the new rules can actually be enforced by the police as they freely admit.

Well we all have our own circumstances so I can't really judge. But if it were me I would phone in and say I'm not coming in and if the company sacked me/refused to pay me I would take them to a tribunal.

———————————————————————
In theory maybe, but the sort of boss who is forcing staff to come in will just turn around and say good luck with that see you in court in about 10 years.

Also nobody has said you can only go to work if it's essential work. So it's not something you're going to win. He said only travel to work if absolutely necessary and you can't work from home.

the main problem the government has is they actually thought half the country actually had common sense.
+++

This is the main problem this GVT is facing and it a dawning realisation for Boris and Co that the greatest enemy to the country is within. Like a 5th Column.

These 'people of our country' are (on the whole) the very people who voted for this government in at the last election due to misinformation and lies. They have little collective common sense had have been conditioned over the past 3 years to reject any advice and guidance from 'experts and professionals' relating to Economics Finance and Banking, of which Boris has actively encouraged.

Now he expects the great British public to take heed of the advice of medical experts.

Good luck with that Boris. You reap what you sow.

The Government are doing a brilliant job in the most unprecedented times in living history

I’m just grateful we got people who can make such tough decisions at the right time

Just imagine if we’d Corbyn and his cronies in Government....they’d be wanting offer the virus a 2nd vote before just to make sure it was authentic

It's a slap on the wrist and vague on purpose to make the one's who actually can more than reasonably stay home do so imo.

It'll likely work a bit as well.

And yet he is right isn’t he.

If you think Labour would have handled this any better you are living in dream land.

In fact I haven’t seen much from the Labour Party at all in this crisis. Has Corbyn actually said anything constructive.

Just seen Trumps latest presser being played alongside Boris from last night.

On one hand you have a President showing nothing but concern for the markets and his re election chances and ignoring the Crisis engulfing the country.

Then you have Boris laying out what the country needs to do to try to get a grip on the Virus. Has he been behind the curve on this, yes. So has the rest of the world.

It’s all been very civil.

Hancock spent ages in the opening of his speech yesterday praising the Shadow Health Sec and the Labour leadership for their input, suggestions, support and collaborative approach over the last few weeks

What a lot of people seem to fail to see, is that this is a crisis that has no blueprint - the Government are acting in the medical and expert advice given röntgen at the time - and as far as I am concerned they’re actinf appropriately when the advice is given

It’s OK people saying ‘he should have done this. Or that 2 weeks ago’ but the advice 2 weeks ago was completely different to the advice he’s being given now - at every point, Boris Johnson has acted effectively and swiftly on the ad vice he’s been given - you can ask no more - of course pointing the finger in hindsight is the easiest thing to do - but as far as I am concerned, he’s acted admirably for the interest of the whole Country - that is why he was elected Leader, and probably why he’ll be around for the next 10 years or so

Some people just can’t hack a Conservative Government doing the right thing in a crisis, and will constantly nit-pick and snipe at every given opportunity

It’s almost as though they themselves are somehow party to better information and expert advice than those in Government

Pity they didnt follow medical advice when all the doctors said the NHS was a breaking point.

The man is, and always will be, a self serving wanchor and if he can cut the dependency ratio whilst still making a bit if cash he'll be bang up for it.

I think Boris is doing quite well in a very testing time, but saying he is "doing a brilliant job" is insane and sounds more like one of Trump's supporters.

One of Trumps latest tweets says he wants to end social distancing.

You couldn’t make this up.

Luckily the State Governor's are taking this into their own hands and ignoring the orange buffoon.

If you think me suggesting the experts were right not to cut 17,000 beds and Johnson ignoring them highlights my point youre abit dafter than I thought and youre rock bottom on that front anyway.

And did you think you had better 'information' regarding Brexit than the Conservative Prime Ministers Cameron, May and their respective governments?

Was just reading that... Pure insanity. If shhittt hits the fan, does he not understand that potentially millions of deaths might not steady the financial ship?

Well done Boris for admitting the last ten years were a total fvck up and over 100k people didnt have to die on top if the increased numbers this will lead to now.

RB&W is bang on. They've ignored expert advice for a decade, even Hunt admits they fvcked it up with the health service, and STILL morons on here support him.

It truly is bizarre.
