It’s almost as though they themselves are somehow party to better information and expert advice than those in Government
++

And did you think you had better 'information' regarding Brexit than the Conservative Prime Ministers Cameron, May and their respective governments?

What do you mean...along with 18+ million others

Some folk just can’t handle democracy....unless of course ‘their team’ wins

Doesn’t really matter what I thought, people were given a vote, and the Country spoke - we all just need to accept that

I think Boris is doing quite well in a very testing time, but saying he is "doing a brilliant job" is insane and sounds more like one of Trump's supporters.

Well done Boris for admitting the last ten years were a total fvck up and over 100k people didnt have to die on top if the increased numbers this will lead to now.

RB&W is bang on. They've ignored expert advice for a decade, even Hunt admits they fvcked it up with the health service, and STILL morons on here support him.

It truly is bizarre.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again what a lot of people fail see or refuse to accept, is that the last 12 years has been spent clearing up the mess Blair and Brown left the Country in, almost bankrupting it with their reckless spending - the last 10 years has been focused on getting the Country and the Economy back on its feet, and making it one of the streets ones in Europe

Our GDP hit pre 2008 crash levels in 2012, and our national debt percentage was lower under both Brown and Blair than it was under John Major until the financial crash happened.

So unless you're blaming the financial crash on Labour, their "reckless spending" had nothing to do with it.

One of Trumps latest tweets says he wants to end social distancing.

You couldn’t make this up.

Luckily the State Governor's are taking this into their own hands and ignoring the orange buffoon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was just reading that... Pure insanity. If shhittt hits the fan, does he not understand that potentially millions of deaths might not steady the financial ship?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He is obsessed with the US Economy. It is the only chance he has of being re elected. If he gets ousted he knows he will likely be going to jail.

What he doesn’t get is if this gets worse, which it will in the USA, the economy will get worse.

Everything he does is for his own self interest. The US Senate must now be wishing they had got rid of this clown when they had the chance.

Debt is up against GDP from 70% to 85% and instead of borrowing against low interest rates to invest in services and infrastructure they're having to do it now everything has flooded and the NHS is on it's knees.

They're sh!t for the country mate. It's not really up for debate anymore.

Id love to know what mess they've sorted out though just for sh!ts and giggles.

Genuine request that. What mess do you think theyve sorted?

"I'm shaking hands," Johnson said when asked how he planned to handle visiting dignitaries.

"I was at a hospital the other night where I think a few there were actually coronavirus patients and I shook hands with everybody, you'll be pleased to know, and I continue to shake hands."

Boris Johnson - 3rd March.

Hero.

Not Stretty. Stretty would apply for a job giving gobbies under the table at the Labour conference if such a role existed.

I don't think we can comment on how this has been handled until its (hopefully) over.

I understand Boris wanted to give the public the chance to act sensibly, but even that was late imo.

Let's hope the trend changes and we don't end up in a situation like Italy. Let's not forget we're yet to see a successful exit strategy, Singapore thought they figured it out. We're at the beginning of this journey.

Utterly naive though. Anyone with a brain would know that was never gonna happen.

The Government are doing a brilliant job in the most unprecedented times in living history

I’m just grateful we got people who can make such tough decisions at the right time

Just imagine if we’d Corbyn and his cronies in Government....they’d be wanting offer the virus a 2nd vote before just to make sure it was authentic
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have read this from several people now and am baffled as to what tough decisions he has made?

Made the wrong choice regarding 'herd' action. Closed schools about two weeks later than they should have. Failed to close down flights in quicker. Closed restaurants and bars about two weeks later than he should have and still hasn't made it remotely clear what is and isn't essential.

Absolute shambles throughout.

I’ll add advised those in catering and hospitality to close, instead of ordering, leading to hotels, restaurants and bars to close. This led to staff being laid off. The government then pledged to cover 80% of wages days after, which those laid off aren’t entitled to.

posted on 24/3/20

We can't order anyone to close without the correct laws being in place.

They won't be in place until Thursday so don't be shocked if some fwckwits think they're entitled to "one last fling"

A guy in Arizona has just died by self medicating on the Anti Malaria drug because he listened to the orange buffoon saying it would treat the virus.

This idiot didn’t even have the virus.

This is a major issue with Trump. His supporters believe everything that comes out of his mouth. Loads of Americans will die or even worse spread the virus killing someone else because they can not distinguish fact from fiction.

To be fair that is the case in a lot of countries nowadays with social media and too many Karen's on FB.

Heard about the Malaria thing but no idea where that came from, some 'expert' no doubt trying to make a name for themselves and speaking up too early before testing.

Amazed that by this point there isn't a daily alert coming to phones about what to do and not do. Very easy to implement. The lack of information available is actually frighteningly poor.

Yes social media is an issue but this is the US President deliberately spreading false information for his own political agenda.

The lack of information available is actually frighteningly poor.

.....

This is what happens when people like Trump surrounds himself with yes men instead of people with the right qualification to do the job.

Watch every presser he does and he wheels out his stooges who do nothing but praise him instead of giving the American people what they need. Correct factual information.

There is no one in his administration who has came up with an actual plan with time scales to achieve it, like testing kits, face masks and respirators etc.
