gonna take a while before all the PPE and testing kits needed are available

It’s coming in every day but I agree not quickly enough

We should be supportive she is doing everything possible to speed up the inventory supplies

30.000 ventilators granted shared with the rest of the UK but it will make a massive difference
Tonnes of Ppe arriving soon

Interesting that France are on their knees with shortages they are though like us working tirelessly to get stocks

I am fecked btw, I think I've got it, head's pounding, sore back, knackerd, been like this for two days.

My boy had the cold two weeks ago and I caught it, had it for a week and thought it was going away, now this.

Or any type of failure

I’m first in line for Nicola bashing normally

But not on this the rest of the UK and large parts of Europe are in a similar boat

She is doing everything possible

As I’m sure is Boris and the other world leaders

Ffs chill mate

Just heard my cousin has it and he is not good
On a ventilator at Edinburgh hospital

Mentioned this on another thread earlier today.

Sister in law's boyfriend who works in the Western in Edinburgh sent home yesterday feeling unwell having been in contact with a Corona patient.

Update I've had today is a worsening of his condition and symptoms which bear all all the hallmarks of CV.

First though was.....how the fvck was he not protected adequately when at work. Don't know precisely what the protection is for frontline staff.

Sorry to hear that Duke.
Does he have underlying health issues?

Government is stretched for events like this. Maybe could have subcontracted large parts of it, maybe they are?

Riles next that media are taking so much of ministers time and when they get them in front are grilling them and trying to trip them up. Sure it’s the age we live in but cut folk some slack ffs it’s not like they’re not trying their best.

ffs not again

I want it. I want it now. I demand the government do it. I demand they do it right now. I don’t care if there wasn’t enough for an unknown pandemic. I don’t care if it takes time to manufacture and deliver.

I don’t care.

I want it now. I want it bigger. I want it faster and it better be much more significant than the huge thing I wanted yesterday.

And be prepared because I’ll change what I want tomorrow and it better be even faster.

And the government better do it.

Now.

Well that's your view Ginger. My view is that things should and could've been done earlier by the govt rather than treating it like flu, shaking hands with staff in a hospital and in the early days playing it down.

I’m messing as you can see. But I genuinely think the expectations from the public are ridiculous in the main.

Nothing happens tomorrow. Things take time and we are responding well.

Tongue in cheek Zico, mate, but IF the test comes available and IF the efficacy is proven and IF they become some sort of gate to returning normality then people will be wanting their dose and antibody test confirmed to get back in the boozer.

As much as I’m no fan of Bozo and I think he was stupid at the start of this
It’s a poisoned chalice of a job
Don’t know how they could have covered everything in such a timescale and with such a cost
My Mrs has decent PPE but she works with sick babies in incubators and stuff maybe get a bit of priority
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The political point scoring is truly pathetic
Forgetting that the Scottish NHS is devolved
If I thought this was down to that wee mare I would say so if I thought they could have done more I would mention it on occasion

But really neither Nicola in Scotland or Boris in the rest of the UK could have done a lot more

Let’s support them, let’s follow the expert advice and beat this thing

Also meant to say watched most of The English Game on Netflix with the lad. No fan of period drama but then it’s not often about footy!

Only 6 episodes to complete and interesting look at the introduction of professionalism. An added bonus is the delicious Niamh Walsh.

Recommended.

I think the time for criticism will be after this has all passed, and then we can look back and learn. I’ve no doubt errors and mistakes have been made, but right now it’s about everyone pulling in the same direction.

Political point scoring is a pain in the tets right now, as are politicians who just want to make sure their voice is heard at question times.

Really not a fan of Boris, but he’s not as bad as Trump, and he might not be anyone’s first choice, but he’s getting by in what is an incredibly difficult time right now.
