Wouldn’t work in Scotland. The Highland league have been decisive in this 👍

Think at higher more important level it won't be possible or right to do that.

Rangers just got a payment of £390k this morning from the league. There will be none of that nonsense up here.

I just can`t see us watching football anytime soon never mind finishing this season/cup/european games still to be decided.

My fear is a second wave of the virus, plus players refuse to play behind closed doors.

Talk is 18 month min for a vaccine! Then the backlog of games,I just don`t see it happening.

I'm sure they will finish this season even if it's in November/December and truncate the next one.

And let's be honest if this goes on longer than that there will only be Celtic and some wee clubs lower down the leagues who play for the sheer fun of it left so we might as well get the trophy.

In fact all the trophies for some considerable time.

Voiding a season that doesn’t end seems like common sense to me

I disagree. The SFA should decide and do what is best for Scottish football. Because despite what theyve been doing for the best part of 100 years, thats meant to be there job and they shouldn't be praying for UEFA or anyone else to bail them out of the tough decisions once again.

Have just about forgot about football the last couple of weeks?

Kinda feel the authorities are damned whatever call they make

Either way though Rangers should be hammered for this

We sometimes assume we are unique here? Sure there's rivalry between RM & Barca, MU & LIverpool etc. but is there any other country in the World where there's two teams so far ahead of everyone else, so closely matched in almost every respect (in one support's eyes at least) and so bitter about the other?

i.e. are we the only country seemingly with such a dilemma and so much seemingly at stake?

On a point of order is it not the SPFL that make the call and not the SFA? Not sure the SFA could over rule them?

Furthemore, could the SPFL go one way for the leagues and the SFA another way for the cup? I am pretty sure Celtic would want the competitions played to a conclusion? Whether that can happen, who knows?

River Plate and Boca Juniors is the only other one that springs to mind.
To me, the season must end at some point, null and void is harsh and equally declaring champions and relegation with games unplayed is unfair. We can always change amend future seasons before they start to get back on track.

Kind of agree, Schiz.

However, something tells me that in the event we play this season to a finish then truncate next season to finish in May then we'll get the same arguments all over again that it wasn't a full season therefore it isn't ten or 55 and it should get an asterix etc. It's just what we do.
