You mean you can’t work it out?

Up until about 20-25 years ago Everton were actually top and where the top team points wise for around 80 years or so

Yeah, fair play to them. They’ve only been out of the top division for four years. That’s no mean feat.

It’s not. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be consoling myself about??

Surprising to see so many clubs high on that list that have made a living not winning league titles.

Liverpool, Everton and Villa as an example are all in the top five but have gone a combined 99 years since winning a title.

Well, not long ago a fair few of your fans were talking about unbeaten trebles and suchlike, but now that’s an impossibility, you might want to console yourself with the latest wave of success

Latest wave of success? This table covers over 130 years, so bit of an odd comment. It’s also about league games only, so your talk of trebles is irrelevant to the article.

There's a huge gap between the top 4 and the rest,especially 6th and below.Almost 1000 points between 4th and 6th.

It does show the traditional big teams being so dominant since the league was formed.

It's actually over 1100 points between 4th and 6th.

The top 4will be the top 4 for many seasons to come especially because the team sitting in 5th is Villa

Amazingly, 4 times winners City are in the top 10 despite only being invented in 2008.

I think City were formed far earlier than 2008 as the games played and points accumulated suggest.

They were amongst the also ran's though up untli 2008 though, spending several seasons in the third tier.Something the traditional big clubs have never done
