Havent Wolverhampton fc only been back in the premier league two seasons? Fair play for being a whole 2 points above spurs though
Lampard made Drogba look better than he was because he kept pinballing his knock downs. Andy Carroll would have been similarly effective in that regard. And Carroll isn’t even a footballer.

True, but he’s a very late bloomer though isn’t he ? The likes of Drogba and Kane been producing the goods since they were an early age. Vardy has been on top form for the last 4 or so years. Before that he was a nobody. Very good striker Vardy but I wouldn’t class him as one of the Prem’s best ever strikers, where as you can argue a case for Kane and Drogba being in the top 5, Vardy no chance.

I'd say kane is a comfortably better footballer. Drogba might be a bit better in the air but in terms of all round game kane is definitely ahead, he is a genuine creator

No. It makes sense, Ronaldo is obviously the best player who has ever played in the PL, whereas he's not the best PL player when we never saw his best here for long enough.
He’s on cusp, Spurtle. But I don’t think he’s been in the top ten. His status gets massively overhyped because he was good in finals. Which ignores are the months and years he spent doing fack all in the premier league.
Goalscoring stats is kind of missing the point of Drogba. He made Chelsea tick as an attacking team and allowed Lampard and the wingers to flourish.
Don’t forget, he also played for Jose who wouldn’t exactly go looking for goals when 1 or 2 up.
One of my heroes as a kid was Dalglish. Drogba’s scoring record is better than Kenny’s. But again judging Kenny by his goals misses the point.
All that said however, I’d still have Drogba below the usual suspects but that’s because of my view of his ability not his goal record.

You seem to have some weird hatred of Spurs on here. Bit odd being a Wolves fan. I’m a huge Drogba fan, but I would hardly say “zero doubt”. Drogba is a monster and a winner don’t get me wrong, but Harry Kane is one of the best strikers on the planet right now. You can argue a case for both, but I wouldn’t go as far to say “zero doubt” Drogba is better. Drogba is one of the best strikers ever in the Prem, but so is Harry Kane.

Lampard made Drogba look better than he was because he kept pinballing his knock downs. Andy Carroll would have been similarly effective in that regard. And Carroll isn’t even a footballer.

True, but he’s a very late bloomer though isn’t he ? The likes of Drogba and Kane been producing the goods since they were an early age. Vardy has been on top form for the last 4 or so years. Before that he was a nobody. Very good striker Vardy but I wouldn’t class him as one of the Prem’s best ever strikers, where as you can argue a case for Kane and Drogba being in the top 5, Vardy no chance.

I'd say kane is a comfortably better footballer. Drogba might be a bit better in the air but in terms of all round game kane is definitely ahead, he is a genuine creator

Yeah, so you could argue Vardy hasn't even had all his peak years in the PL so credit to him for performing so well this late in his career.
I wouldn't have either Vardy or Drogba in a top 5. Drogba's numbers just aren't good enough to be in the conversation.

He’s on cusp, Spurtle. But I don’t think he’s been in the top ten. His status gets massively overhyped because he was good in finals. Which ignores are the months and years he spent doing fack all in the premier league.

Goalscoring stats is kind of missing the point of Drogba. He made Chelsea tick as an attacking team and allowed Lampard and the wingers to flourish.
Don’t forget, he also played for Jose who wouldn’t exactly go looking for goals when 1 or 2 up.
One of my heroes as a kid was Dalglish. Drogba’s scoring record is better than Kenny’s. But again judging Kenny by his goals misses the point.
All that said however, I’d still have Drogba below the usual suspects but that’s because of my view of his ability not his goal record.
