Enjoyed a cracking day of football.
10am was defending champions Dinamo Brest who won 1-0 away at Slu*sk.
12 noon was the mighty BATE Borisov who after suffering a surprise opening day defeat last week would surely respond at Slavia. 1-0 up inside 10 minutes it certainly looked that way, but sadly ended up with another defeat, going down 2-1.
2pm Minsk derby, FC Minsk racing into a 3-0 lead followed by Dinamo going down to 10 men, but surprisingly the 10 men finished strong and made it a respectable 3-2 final result.
4pm Shakhtyor last seasons runners up played out a dominant performance winning 2-0 away at Gorodeya. The only setback in the performance was a dreadful missed penalty in the 1st half at 0-0, chipped it over the bar

Super sunday not looking great tomorrow

Work in food manufacturing.

Stacked out, year end, makes it even busy.

Still going into work ( massive restrictions, and cleaning)

Agree about the driving, it’s a pleasure with zero traffic.

Two of the kids have been Poorly ( not this virus) so slept fook all for two weeks.

Haven’t missed football like I thought I would.

Just feels abit surreal

Last time I saw mates or family was the 13th, was in the sports bar to watch the Bielefeld v Osnabrück game, was meant to be one of the last two games before the football shutdown, the other game was Greuther Fürth v Hamburg, they were supposed to start at 18:30uhr, but was called of at Midday!..

Some Osnabrück and I think Hsv fans had a wasted journey!..

Since then been home all alone and only in contact with others when shopping, or out with the dog!..

Tomorrow going to my Brother in law, first time away from home since that day!..

No s*x,
No drugs,
No wine,
No women,
No fun,
No sin,
No you,
No wonder it’s dark....

You could almost write a song about it couldn’t you?

For a bit of fun, in these dark days....without googling it, can anyone name the 1980 hit?

Turning Japanese -TheVapours.

I was an innocent little fella, and thought it was all about loads of stuff being made in Japan.

posted on 29/3/20

Spot on, Jbjasus (apart from the spelling). I believe The Vapors left the ‘u’ out of their name to make it seem more American.
Dave Fenton, who wrote it, has always denied the commonly held belief that the lyrics were about ‘you know what’.
Not sure I believe him 😀
I was in my prime back then and saw them supporting The Jam. They re-formed fairly recently and I saw them supporting From The Jam last year. Both were superb. It made me feel old, though!
It feels like a different lifetime now - having a few pints and going to gigs.

Apologies for being a bit of an anorak 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵

Ha smoggy - thanks. My turn now

For some reason I always have to think carefully wether it’s the Vapors, or the band that did

Ma ma ma ma ma ma my my my my my .........

Missing word and band name if you can? Actually checking up I can see it was about the same time and both singers had daft fringes.

My business has stopped.

I started a Facebook support network group for tennis coaches which is valuable for idea sharing around business best practice.

Going through all my content so its better organised and I can leverage it better on social media.

Sorted out all my equipment, regrouped rackets, just sent 1,000 tennis balls for recycling.

Updating website and social channels.

Got all invoices up to date.

Creating video lessons for customers.

Watching other coaches videos to learn from, doing online ITF courses.

Cooking more.

Reading more.

Getting kids involved more in the cooking and tidying etc so that they feel part of a team and learn new skills.

Try and get up early each day and have a structure to day and also ensure we have one night a week as a date night, important to get time to ourselves.

Making lots of calls to customers and other coaches to stay in touch and support.

My wife is a vet, she is obliged to continue working and now doing 12 hour days so I ensure that she doesn't have to cook or wash-up or anything when she comes home as she is emotionally shattered seeing animals who need operations but owners in tears as they have lost their jobs and don't even know how they will feed themselves, but as a vet she cannot turn them away.

I think it's really important to find ways to preserve your physical health and mental health. Dont put off exercise until tomorrow. Keep intact with friends.

I don't miss sport on TV at all and maybe sport needs that, it needs to realise that it can't take fans and viewers for granted and that we'll fund these obscene wages.

Also, I think you have to be prepared for this lockdown to extend much further. I think we have this for at least 8 more weeks now if not longer and the restrictions will get tighter, so you have to find a way to exercise at home.

If you think you can't handle to though, remember Anne Frank, who with 6 others stayed confined in just a few rooms for 3 years.

Make sure you have a structure, maintain physical and mental health and try not to waste the time!

Exercising mostly. Weight training and isometric exercises plus some running. I sprained my knee badly 6 weeks ago so having to do self physio on it also as its still damaged.

Ideal opportunity for people to complete renovation work, coursework, learn a new skill etc.

Jbjasus....

Would that be The Knack with My Sharona from 1979? Great song.... and there are brand new versions of it around right now with the title changed to MY CORONA.

posted on 29/3/20

Yup.

Great song but I seem to recall they had some dodgy political views which damaged their career.

Had the afternoon off, decided to do some major garden work. Apart from coming on here yesterday, footy hasn’t crossed my mind. Even the summer, we’re always looking at what the club in doing transfer wise and getting excited for a season. We’re just in limbo now, it might not re start for 6+ months.

Glad to hear folk on here doing ok and managing to either keep working, or looking at improving themselves for when this is over.

Well, daily routine is out at the moment, its surpirsing how many day to day thing you do come off the back of routine - work, gym / training, eat, sleep is the weekday routine.

Working from home doesn;t seem to kick start my routine, though to be fair, I'd of been on rest week from training anyway.

So, today, back to it.. working from home again.. I guess I'm lucky really, getting paid full wack for logging on a few times at home!.. with litrally nothing to spend my money on, other than seed trays and plants

the garden is looking fantastic.

Training wise, fits in perfectly strangly enough.. spent a good few months putting the weight on with the weight training, as of last week I got to just under 14 stone, (6 ft tall) litrally bulging out of my clothes.. but now is the time I'd swap it for the summer and get rid of the excess. high intense cardio, pressup sets rather than bench press, pull ups rather than bicep curls etc..

will be looking shredded at about 13.4 stone by the summer...

pity there'll be no birds about to see it

Cuppa in bed at 7am. Then ten minutes on the treadmill and ten on the rower.

Breakfast. Bit of paining and decorating.

Nice coffee and a biscuit. Crossword.

Cut grass/garden if possible weather wise.

Lunch, relax a little, catch up on SMedia.

Speak to sons - one in Knaresborough and one in Bangkok.

Maybe a little go at the jigsaw we have on the go.

Tenable, Tipping Point, The Chase.

Tea.

Relaxing evening with TV and catching up on some dramas.

Bed about 11:30. Read a Roy Grace novel. Play some

Worked 3 days from home last week and will be the same this week. Aiming to get through April and May without doing a 5 day week with the help of bank holidays and flexi days. Advantage is that I save 2 hours travelling per day and around £55 per week in fuel.

No 6 a side Monday night. 11 a side season out of the window, was looking forward to some midweek matches to finish the season off given all the postponements due to bad weather. Golf season (not) about to start

Keep checking Soccerway to see what I'm missing as well

Just been for a ride around Askham Bryan with my wife’s car due to it not being used for a while.

One thing I’ve not missed is all the bloody potholes!

Did about 2 miles, crossing the A1237 which is part of York outer ring road. Saw two other cars and two lots of two people out walking.

Eerie to say the least. First time out of our street since last Monday.

Stoopo, Eerie indeed, been taking walks around the area, walking through the springs retail park which is totally deserted, its actually like the walking dead.

Along the walk there is a motorway bridge over the M1.. through the woods, its strange getting to that place, looking over the bridge to see zero cars going up and down..

Going into North Yorkshire the police have issued guidance. They can stop you and ask if your journey is essential.

Yeah been stopped 4 times now and asked what I'm doing, what my job is and if I'm going straight home!

LIW, sorry for not answering, I'm an hour in front of you and signed out for bed before you wrote!..

Went to my Brother in Law Sunday and got back late last night, he has to work today so no point staying!..

When I say I'm all alone at home, I mean with not getting out and seeing people I usually see, which I think at this moment in time its a world problem not just mine, I have friends and my wife's family here and we're all keeping in contact with WhatsApp and such, so, not as bad as it sounded!..

And like I said, run into people,(some I know!)when shopping or out with the dog!..

But thanks for the thoughts!.

And I wouldn't say no to Becchio's goals!.

More chance of seeing lord Lucan than a copper in North Notts... everything as normal here

Coppers stopping cars is getting a bit ridiculous!...who the hell are you going to pass it on to or get it driving your car!

West Yorkshire police are tw##s... always been heavy handed imo... Notts police are generally quite chilled out in comparison
