Certain pages of my Baywatch annual would be taking a hell of a pounding.

Back in 1990 there was only one woman (and show) for me - Kelly Kapowski from Saved by the Bell

Leave my wife, take the kids, rent a boat and sail to Fiji, one of the few countries without Corona. Find a new local hot bird to mind the kids with me, sit with my new family on the beach sipping cocktails for the rest of my life.

On the plus side no bullshiete social media which also means no trump so the yanks would have a fighting chance with someone competent in charge...

Give it a rest you little biitch

Evening Tomkins, mate.

Hope you and yours are well.

Strange times to be alive in.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Evening mate. All fine here. Hope you're keeping well!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good news.

Ok this side of the Irish sea and keeping head up.

Went to see mum today on the Honda and spoke to her through the window as she did not answer phone.

Testing times for our bulldog spirit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It snowed near me today and not one person put anything about it on Facebook.

Testing times indeed.

Disgrace.

I live for snow.

What a tool you are. Are we denying trumps actions haven’t put his countrymen at risk now?

That was back when you only got 2 points for a win in football as well so you only got two thirds of the enjoyment of a win these days.

I'd probably have had forearms like Popeye from playing Daley Thompson's Decathlon on the Spectrum 48k.

Loved that game, many a hand blister and broken joysticks!

Honourable mentions to:-

Green Beret
Gauntlet

Things are bad now but I wonder what creature comforts would get us through the same thing in 1990.

Play Lemmings, or Golf on PC or Championship manager

They still had books

In 1990 we probably wouldn't have known it was a new disease and we'd still happily play outside.

Or, we'd see some really heavy adverts on TV (think the AIDS one and the one about kicking a football into an electric substation) which would scare us all sh**less!

Yeah great shout. Gauntlet was ace too, especially if you had a mate who could play to a decent standard as well.

I've got a spectrum emulator on my phone and can play pretty much any title ever released through worldofspectrum.org - worth a look for anyone seeking a bit of nostalgic light relief during lockdown.

I still can't get a number one single on 'Rockstar Ate My Hamster' though, no matter how hard I try

Sorry to be a bubble buster, but the first Championship Manager wasn't released until September 1992 so you'd have still had to wait a bit sadly 😬

Does anyone remember Tracksuit manager? That may have been 1990

posted on 29/3/20

I'd probably spend my 1 hour of outside exercise rooting through bushes in the hope of finding a discarded, lightly soiled, torn pawn mag.

Was that one slightly...risque? I think that might be the game I always used to try and buy at my local Computerstore, but the sales assistants would just laugh and tell me no

Yep. Or the original Football Manager from 1982. Stick men with giant goals.

You can get that on the Android play store. I'm friends with the guy who made it, Kevin Toms, on Facebook. Proper nice bloke.
