Usual stuff, Radiohead, Rem, Oasis, Manics

Was never into The Stones Roses. I don't mind them but always thought their songs sounded a bit samey!

Any fans of the Manic Street Preachers here

One of my fav bands

Love Motorcycle Emptiness
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Guy I work with travels the world seeing them. Probably seen them over 100 times.

The universe is a wicked b!tch though. He married a woman who is a Hanson fan, so his penance has been seeing them live over 30 times.

He even bought a case of their ipa called Mmmm Hops.

And he’s a City fan.

Poor b@stard!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A raft of very, very good songs, but I never thought they were an exceptional live band. Consistently decent.

The best live bands I saw around that time were probably New Bomb Turks, Rocket from the Crypt, The Vandals, and Rage Against the Machine. There were a lot of good punk bands about in the 90s putting on crazy shows.

I’d undoubtedly add Dillinger Escape Plan to the list, because their energy, sheer power and musicianship was frightening; but I saw them do some utterly horrible things to the people who had paid to go and see them.

Hip Hop’s golden age too.

I've been listening to a Britpop 90s playlist on Spotify at work this week. It has brought back some great memories and felt a bit emotional with some songs if I'm honest. Simpler times when I turned from a teen into an adult!

Blur were way better than Oasis.

Prove me wrong.

I'd forgotten just how good a few tunes were.

Wide Open Space by Mansun is epic IMO and There She Goes by the La's a perfect bit of pop.

Loved them both. Felt Blur has more strings to their bow though with many more good albums. The first two Oasis albums are classics though IMO.

I would agree with this, oasis more limited but were better when at their best. Don’t rate parklife as an album at all.

I don't think they were better but I enjoy both of them. Blur were a bit more diverse in their music though which they have going for them.

I'm old enough to remember when they were battling it out for the number 1 spot and I bought Roll With It. Those were good times.

Must admit I've been listening to it quite a bit. Never really realised the backing in the song before now. I think I like it as it reminds me of a time when I was 19 and going out every weekend and going on holiday with my friends. The lyrics are rather appropriate for now as well

Battling out with two of their worst records as well!
