There is "a lot of common sense" in crowning Celtic as Scottish Premiership champions if the season cannot finish, says Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes.

"There is a lot of common sense.......

UEFA think we should be aiming for a July start (to this season) and an August finish but cannot spill over into September......

Meanwhile Denmark have stuck the proverbial two fingers up to UEFA.......fvck you.....we've decided we're finished for this season (even though the decision might threaten their clubs European participation next season)

Belgium have already done it but no reaction from eufa?

Ath...i meant Belgium not Denmark.

Their decision is to be confirmed at some committee meeting this month. UEFA strongly pressuring them to reverse their decision but they're not changing their mind as far as I know

There has been a reaction.

Belgium likely to climb down. They are taking their case to UEFA where it will he decided next week.

A lot of pash spouted about the Belgian decision by desperate folk. 'They were only one game of their league left, but'

They’ve a load of games left haven’t they as they split as well

I think

Quite.

Those people pursuing that agenda had not thought through where it would lead their argument nearer to home.

Isn't it a play off they do in Belgium? Rather than a further split

Indeed. There's a few who haven't thought it through.

I wouldn’t get hung up on the wording. There was 1 game left of the first part of their season, and then a further 10 games after that. For all intents and purposes, the league splits and they have a play off. Using both words will maybe keep everyone happy.

Teams also start with half the points they gained from their first 30 games.

There was a proposal to do something similar here if i recall while we were in lower leagues.

Dundee united publicly said they wouldn't vote for anything that would benefit rangers.

Seems strange
You would think the Belgium football authority would make the call based on the situation in Belgium
And in consultation with the appropriate health authority locally
Are UEFA The football folk really over riding that
You’ve got to play ?

It was being used as an example of how we could just stop here granted by some agenda ridden folk

If you can’t play safely you can’t play at all

Can’t remember. Would seem odd that Dundee Utd would comment about rangers on a decision that only affected the top league, if you guys were in the lower leagues?!

Don’t know, but the premise in Belgian is similar to ours. Top teams break away and play the last games against each other.

I think you are right the belgian fa acted after advice from the government so certainly a tad dodgy that uefa are going against that

Ah but the football authorities are above governments. Don’t Fifa they have a rule that expels governing bodies that have been interfered with by their governments?

They will never get a full agreement over multiple countries with various severity levels

This seems best handled by individual governments and not self serving football authority

because it would increase the size of the league and reduce the total number of leagues it meant rangers would skip a year. United actually stated thats the reason they voted against it.
