Shameful decision by the club.

Think this will be backtracked overnight.

Nope. I’d still feel the same if it was any other club to be honest. Hence my comment about football clubs as a whole.

Likewise had no issue when Spurs did the same, it was only the 20% reduction in wages that I didn’t agree with in that case.

Premier football clubs including the biggest in the division who earn hundreds of millions per year have to do this? And people are ok with it?

It’s a facking joke is what it is. They should be told to go fack themselves, they should also be told to make up the deficit from playing staff and exec’s/owners wages.

They are literally sone of the last possible businesses that should receive any help, given the riches the enjoy. So fack then.

Wouldn't matter if they did.
Once you show your true self, as the owners have, it's hard to backtrack.

I take it all back what I said about the windowfitters from OT. Two peas in the same pod.

Any chance that the clubs that have furloughed are expecting the season to not finish (despite what has been said) and are trying to mitigate having to return a huge sum of money to broadcasters?

Real Madrid didn’t furlough their staff. Instead, they’ve continued to pay them their full salaries, donated health care equipment and money, and loaned out their stadium to store medical supplies.

It’s easy to say “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” It’s not easy to act like it.

I personally have less of a problem with it than others.

Yes, you’re a Liverpool fan who’ll defend them to the hilt.

Baz been desperately waiting, he’s devastated that every Liverpool fan isn’t supporting it. Weirdo.

I actually don’t there’s anyone on this planet who gets so outraged at so many things as yourself

Tbh most clubs are probably going to end up doing this. I thought we’d be the first to do it, surprised we haven’t done it yet tbh

I still don't get the onus put on the clubs and the players.

The owners are the billionaires, Branson is a billionaire and is a net beneficiary from our government every year. Hes taking money from the government through this, and a top footballer would have to work for 250 years at their peak to have the same money

Its ridiculous, first the billionaires made us look at and blame the poorest in society for their lack of contribution,

When the shiiit hits the fan they have us looking at the millionaires instead for help.

It's easy for Real Madrid to do that. They're backed by the government.
