Who do you think they ripped off with “Come as you are”?
Killing Joke ....https://youtu.be/x1U1Ue_5kq8
The Damned....https://youtu.be/TaDbMZlN2Pg
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And everyone ripped the Beatles off. Nirvana also ripped off the Pixies with the quiet and loud verses. What's ya point? All artists take inspiration from somewhere. The music they made was great. I mean hip hop was founded on ripping people off. Still made good music. That's why copyright has killed hip hop for me, no more use of samples.

Smells Like Teen Spirit is a all time classic
Whenever in the car n it comes on Mrs F n I both headbang along too it even now n neither of us r real hard rock fans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mentioned this on a thread the other day but my neighbour of very recent times was one of the cheerleaders in the teen spirit video, i was excited to meet here when i heard but alas when i did meet here she was a shambles and had 'lived' the hard life and is basically insane. Tosh O did a redemption for her as well, not a teen spirit one though mind

It's the best MTV unplugged by far. It's awesome start to finish. In a book I read that he'd been mashed a few days before doing that gig and they didn't think he'd make it. But he came on and smashed it, such a good set. Truly lost a great right there. Just like Jim Morrison, Hendrix. Gutting to lose such talent so young.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As much as I love Nirvana, I can still only put the MTV unplugged performance on a par with the Eric Clapton one. Although the covers of Where Did You Sleep Last Night and The Man Who Sold The World are absolute 10/10s
———————
Both superb but Nirvana were on fire there. R.E.M. unplugged was my personal favourite though, absolute class from start to finish.
