Today's rumour is.... Again not confirmed, but there are reports that UEFA have asked the associations to finish their league by August 3rd, and to inform UEFA of their calendar to do so by May 27th.
If not able to complete the league, CL/EL places should be given on sporting merit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that's that fwcked for Scotland then.
Wee Nic says NO
I'd be happy for us to put a calendar out for 2 games a week (Scottish Cup can wait until much later in the year) starting say weekend 4th July with training starting early June.
Just for the hell of it. We can wait for the prizes and prize money I'm sure.

Seems reasonable enough
I can’t help but feel a bit angry with Sturgeon’s presser.
I totally understand why we needed the lockdown, why we still need it for the next 3 weeks or so but to come out with things like social distancing until next year etc, at this stage is a bit pointless right now.
All it does is scare people, put people in a bad mental state at the thought of the rest of their year being like this.
One of the very few times during this where I feel she’s completely wrong.

Have a further look
She's been coming out with unsubstantiated fear mongering ballacks from day 1.
She has as much idea as the next man in the street as to how the next 2-3 weeks will pan out, never mind the next 2-3 months. We've been in this lockdown for only just over 4 weeks and she thinks it's being honest to tell the public to expect no real sense of normality for at least a year.
Based on what? We've supposedly never seen anything like this before and the major problem is that all science based on prophesising is fundamentally flawed. For every expert telling us to lock down harder there's another wondering just wtf are we doing.
60,000 cancer deaths are now being espoused as a likely outcome due to everything being flung at this and people's fear of going anywhere near a hospital. Those will be either untimely or avoidable.
And that's before we get to emotional stress, psychiatric and psychical issues along with irreparable damage to the economy.
She knows exactly what she's doing as she could never be criticised for being too careful. Exactly as a lawyer does. Takes a shed load of your money and then tells you that you've an element of risk (which you knew about) and that it's not worth going to court after all.
i'd rather she told people about how cautious we will have to be than spout schite about them getting back to work.
f...ing idiots are still going out in numbers, imagine she lets up an inch
Is it still not the correct time to take the Tory government to task over their handling of this crisis!! Is it still the time to get behind the Tory government and then review their actions after the crisis is over!! Asking for a friend like!!

But she isn't being realistic is she? It's fear mongering and you can only deliver bad news for so long before people think "know what? Just fwck it. What's the point?"
She thinks you just make statements and the world changes without a thought for cost or collateral damage.
There's noting wrong with being cautious and absolutely the right thing was to lockdown. The government however hoped for 50% compliance. They believe they have well over 90%. You can't just keep treating people like idiots and children.
By the way, she's not the only one. Westminster is just as culpable.
know who u sound like, the trump fans in america
"can't treat us like idiots man"
denying the virus exists, while wearing a mask.
Keeping this going will save lives which is a priority over convenience.
as i have said before, herd immunity was a sick idea that basically accepted the weakest among us would suffer.
i dont think continuing the be cautious until.a vaccine is available is wrong, i think it will save lives.

Well you're wrong
It's starting to cost lives and they will soon outstrip those lost as a direct result of this virus.
How does 60,000 plus deaths from untreated and non confirmed cases of cancer grab you?
And that's before we even start on depression and pretty much everything else.
We now have more capacity in hospitals and in ICU than we did before this thing came along and that's not counting the newly built field hospitals.
I won't even go into the economic argument because you don't even contribute
if we have capacity in ICU etc why are thousands of people being left to die in care homes and in their own homes?

I think they're right.
Like everything else mate they were just so unprepared and my thoughts fwiw are that nobody really considered them until the damage was being done.
UEFA are about to give the green light to the SPFL to award the league up here and rightfully so there's no chance of spectator sport in this country this year at least
the behind closed door approach is a non starter, can you imagine an old firm behind closed doors, people flocking to each others houses, people heading outside the stadiums etc
social distancing is with us until their is a working vaccine or a reliable antibody test and none will be with us for at least a year
++
Strange that you are slating our First Minister on this thread for saying what you are saying in another thread!!

cancer treatment must continue but that cant happen if this gets out of control, there must be a way to manage both.
also by telling people to be careful and maintain social distancing it will help keep it at bay at people will be able to get treatment for other conditions.
if it gets out of control that wont happen.
as to the care homes, its as if those are a side thought and itd absolute phish.
why?
because they are full of old people, many of whom have conditions which keep them there.
as i say, operation "fvck the weak" is goin swimmingly.
